I heard about adlibbing it, but are there any more suggestions?
you can only do it in adlibs i think
they are called dubs / adlibs
and no..there is no other way
i dont really know what ur talkng about but you could try. making a copy of the vocals and putting it in another track then select the word you want and do an echo on it. then delete the rest of the audio in the copied track. thats a crude sort of way. jus experiment.
of course theres other ways other then ad libs
it can all be done on the main vocal track with automation...
^using effects for what he is going for makes them sound shitty and computerized.....
i dunno..i think the best way to do dubs is to NOT be lazy and just record again on another track.....
stop bein lazy people!
it would actually be easier to just overdub...
there is no other way to do that because what busta did was simple adlibs... nothing special almost all emcees do that... what he did was record three tracks, first was main acapella and second was adlibs going over certain parts of the verse to stress those words more... third was just his "cmon's" and "huh's"
y dont u just put reverb on the word or words u want to echo
^^dammit, u were supposed to say
echo - > mid-tones following, and set it to how far from the main vocals u want, how u want it to decay, and shit like that
and no...it wont come out all computerized, becuz, its not reverb...all its doing is copying hte last part of ur vocals for u, and pasting it in a pattern that gets lower each time. so u get that really delayed canyon type echo. HELLO.......HELlo........hello.....
Someone doesn't know the difference between echo and reverb.
