i want to start racing but dont know how to launch
any tips? any help would be appreciated
Auto or manual?
If manual how long have you been driving it?
nissan se/r manual ive been driving it for a year
but i dont know how to launch
i have a cold air intake greddy turbo 5psi
breeze intercooler nitto tires 17's short shifter
headers and some interior stuff
wait... you have a turbo on a SE-R....
what yr SE-R
What are the specs of the turbo... A/R
What injectors do you have...
What kinda power is it putting down
Do you have a FMU, or did you not go that route.
What kind of BBC or MBC did you get.
You reach 5psi's at what rpms?
Damn you know a lot about street racin^
someone's getting excited here
LOL...nope just trying to catch ppl in a lie
no one actualy told the kid how to launch.....lol
anyway I got an atomatic in my grand prix gt coupe and this is how I do it.......
pull up to the line and I leave my car in overdrive.....I hold my brakes to the floor with my left foot while keeping the engine reved up to 2500 or more with my left......then when the caller yells go or whatever just reease the brake then ease to full throttle......
Well powerbraking is easy.. chimps can do it.
And i never told him, cause i dont think he owns the car he says he does... If he does, prove me wrong, and i will be happy to share my secrets of launching.
ahhh....i'm not a huge car guru so i'll be the first one to ask....why do you think he's lying???
LMAooo remember when you caught donth8me or something, with the supra?
LOL..yeah that was quit easy.. i caught some others but it is easy when talking about a car i had.
Reason why i say he is lying... is why would anyone have a SE-R as he says he does... Turbo the car, get custom manifolds made, a new clutch that you have to have, intercooler, and much more mods... blah blah blah... and not know how to launch it. Anyone taking the time to do this to their car knows about modifications and knowing how to launch.
Also, the mods listed were fishy. Don't understand why you get a Greddy turbo for a nissan car, when you easily can do a SR20 swap, and save you money and time.
So How Would U Launch A 98 Civic Coupe Dx.. Manual Transmission Just Curious
good points tigre, the only thing that i could figure would be....kid goes to a shop with no f'n clue and a check that mommy signed....
i'm not great or whatever....but i have 93 dx hatch that is auto and i powerbreak...but i have a 95 vx hatchback that i sold that was manual but i bought it to re-sell and get profit......
so i can drop a B18c5(peep the sig) in it....
only thing i can say is to anticipate green......
1st, if he had a TURBO SE-R, he would know how to launch...that's just how it works...
2nd, easiest way to launch a manual without tearing apart your shit and getting too much wheel spin is to put it in first, bring the clutch to the point where if right before you gave it gas it would start to move, press the gas to get the RPM's somewhat steady at 3200-3500RPM's, when it's time to go pop that clutch press the gas firm and consistent (do not slam) and then go from there. Checkout Maxima.org as well
went out experimenting and found a better way to launch an automatic......
I droped it down into low and power braked it to 3500, once it luanched I just kep in first until 5,00 rm's and, finished shifting threw the gears like a manual
/\--- You are a true innovator. I think we should call your method "Power Breaking"
hopefully you don't do that alot...cause your tranny will be gone in no time flat.
yep ^^ and don't put it into neutral to rev and then drop it into drive either...
i see mad people shifting autos like they are manuals ie first through 3-4 then to drive. does this fuck up anything???
