  2. If you want halfway decent quality, I'd recommend throwing down at least 1,300. Over the years and on a budget, I've spent about 1,500 on my almost perfectly complete sound system.

yeah at least 1g should take care of you.

I remember when I was really into the whole "system" thing

I paid what... 500 for two 12's by fosgate and a 500 watt amp and a box.

figure maybe 100-150 for installation and parts.

i think for my truck at the time I then paid like 400 + install for a custom made box for my extended cab.

it's really not that expensive.. check ebay and try to find package deals... OR your best bet is to make friends with someone who works for best buy or some sound store and get a sweet sweet discount.

i got two w'7's 10 inch suade boxes 1000/1 amp. all JL Audio which i preferably choose due to its superior quality. minus the custom installation, and just parts. probably looking at 3,000 or a lil over for all the proper JL audio materials. for my set up, i had mine inserted into the trunk with a bunch of other hot shit. plexi glass. blue stinger w/ neon lights etc. which shot it up to 12,000$ all said and done for my set up. go with JL or alpine if you want great sound. 2,500-3,500$ should take care of you if you keep it basic. limits are you up 2 you for expansion. cheers!
