This single dropped in '91, 2 years before Enter the Wu-Tang, when the GZA was just going by "The Genius." I used to love this shit, so I was already a GZA fan before Wu-Tang ever dropped... and I must confess, I bit lyrics from this song to use in lunch room and home room battles in high school... "the way I come off on a mic is attractive, I can make a quadriplegic hyperactive,"... "my style couldn't be bitten by a shark,"... "MCs don't understand the way I be bombin' 'em, roll up and ask me, 'what's the phenomenon?'"... I used all those lines... LOL

I was too young know about any of this stuff til years after their other post-36 Chambers solos. Early days on the internet put me onto Words From the Genius and Ooh We Love You Rakeem.

He sounds a little like Kane on this song... you can tell BDK was a big influence... I mean, the flow is almost reminiscent of "Ain't No Half Steppin" on the first couple of verses... I didn't notice that back then... but still a good song.
