some dudes pecs are square, and others are round?
is it from different excersizes? or just genetics?
Probably genetics and amount of muscle, fat, and water retention.
Genetics. same with any body part. For examples, some people have separation between their biceps, some people have square abdominals, some have high calves, etc..
cool, i thought so
one time i seen this guy with the weirdest bicepts ever, the came down on an angle from teh front of his shoulder and ended halfway down the upper part of his arm....looked fucked up like he was missing muscle
Hey How come adding deadlifts to your excersize routine greatly adds to your overall gains?
everyone says that once you do that its like magic and shit
i also heard that about back extensions....is this true aswell?
Don't know about back extension but deadlifts involve/strain a lot of muscles. Neck, traps, back, glutes, abdominals, biceps, forearms, hips, quads, hams.
how do deadlifts work your biceps?
not to bust balls either but hips are a joint, not muscle
the reason so many people say deadlifts will make such a dfference is because A) the amount of muscles it works B) the anabolic affects
as mentioned the deadlift works a lot of muscles, and it hits the back ( a very large muscle grouping) better than almost any other exercise.
the strain on the spine also envokes the release of GH and test which will make every one of your muscles grow. ..this is also why squats are the single most effective exercise for total body development.
everyone who wants to add muscle should deadlift.
Deadlifts hit hip flexors.
does it matter on what kind of deadlifts? straight leg or bent?
Bent is better for overall mass.
man, them bent leg ones are hard to master the technique, i always feel im on the verge of fucking my back up forever....maybe its cuz im using so much weight i can barely even hang on lol
fucking daytime nyquil
it takes time to get the technique down. depending on the reps and weight you may also lose form as you keep going, its really easy to lose form in the DL. also you may just have weak erectors, which you probaly do if you never have done DLs before.
trust me, my erector is doing fine
try it with the bar behind your back. where your ass and thighs are over the bar. And when your standing straight up the bar should be at the back of your thighs.
thats a barbell hack squat, not a deadlift.
damn it. i stand corrected.
had gotten use to the hack squats on the damn machine. sshheeshh.
whats a good alternative workout for the lat pulldown?
Pull-ups duh. One arm dumbbell rows too but I'd just go with pull-ups.
i regret not doing deadlifts now...i just started doing them this past 3 weeks, and it has become my favorite lift....
it is truly the ultimate test of strength...and it shows in the powerlifting records as well, since only 12 men have deadlifted over 900 pounds...
yeah i suppose so....i was thinkin too far outside the box
