David Duchovny's debut as a writer/director is bad on every level. i take that back, the kid who plays tommy as a 12 year old is really a good actor, but other than that, atrocious.

    reasons to stay away:
    1. tea leoni...she's in the movie...'nuff said

    2. robin williams plays a 40 year old retarded janitor who is best friends with a 12 year old boy, hamming it up with his usual robin williams schtick every chance he gets...if that's still not enough to keep you away...that's ok there's more

    3. tea leoni is in this movie

    4. erykha badu attempting to act....and of course she had to sing in the movie.

    5. david duchovny attempting to play a character other than agent mulder.

    6. there really is not much story.
it goes something like this: opening credits; there is a summer in Tommy's youth when everything in his life changed in a way that only happens in movies and he runs away to paris; 20 years later he feels the need to go back to new york for reasons unknown / unexplained; he's happy; end credits

    don't say i didn't warn you

yeah, i never saw him in anything other than x-files, and if this is any indication of what he can do, i don't want to. haven't seen red shoe diaries, maybe this was just a bad outing.

hey now, be fair... she was good in "the cider house rules", and almost every review i've read of this says that she's the best thing about this movie.

I wish this would be good because... it's Mulder, man!

But yeah, the previews do look awful.

no way man, anton yelchin was the best thing about this movie....she was very much a stock character, played directly by the book.
