Depends what you mean by building a franchise.. If you mean starting a new team with a player in their current form, & don't put :
at the top of your list, you're crazy.
Kobe is the best player on the planet.. But he's only got 2-3 more years in his prime.. If you're starting a new franchise, they're always terrible for a while, so you have your eyes set on the future.. All 3 of those guys have another decade of dominating the league in them..

grrrrrrrrrrrr rg3 planet
Bosh can put up 40 & 20 if he wants to.. Doesn't change the fact that he plays absolutely no defense.
Guy is the black Dirk minus the range
but tell me he aint top 10 for a franchise.
but his sfur so ugly
After that it gets a little hazy..
You got Amare, Dirk, Bosh, Melo, Pierce, Gasol, E. Brand, Al Jefferson, AI, Joe Johnson, VC, Ginobli, Ray Allen, Nash, David West, Boozer, T-Mac, B-Diddy, Tony Parker .. Some young guys like Brandon Roy, Devin Harris, Danny Granger, OJ Mayo, Durant, Bynum.. All those guys on that list.. IMO.. you can't win a title with them as your franchise player.. Or atleast not without a second option that's close to the same level & some very solid role players around them based on the franchise players weaknesses.. Since we talkin about Bosh.. He isn't ever winning anything without an amazing defensive anchor next to him at C.. That goes for almost all of the PF's I listed because their main weakness is the fact that they can't play D at all.. With the eception of Boozer at times.. & Brand when he's healthy.
Kobe & Lebron pretty much the only players in the league that can take a team of scrubs to the playoffs..
d wade is a beast....
