"... a kiiiiid with no AAACEEE in the hoooOoooOOOoleeeeE"

    sing it, ray, sing it!!!

what a terrific viewing experience 'the cincinnati kid' is...

a few reasons to watch 'the cincinnati kid':

    - an overall great gambling movie even if it's not quite on the same level with 'the hustler'

    - the theme song sung by ray charles is damn near impossible to get out of your head... and, it comes at the perfect time to have the right impact

    - lalo schifrin (enter the dragon, bullitt, mission impossible) did the score

    - steve mcqueen's portrayal of a man so obsessed with being #1 that he's willing to risk it all is spot-on and defines the word 'cool'... as well as masterful supporting performances from edward g. robinson (ultra bad-ass!), karl malden, rip torn, joan blondell, tuesday weld, and ann-margret

    - ann margret sears, burns, and lights up the screen with one of the most alluring and seductive presences EVER!

it's a shame this film isn't more well known than it is

    it deserves a bigger audience
