I know I could have, but then I couldn't be a pain in the ass.
Those pictures are fucking tits.
This isn't a movie or some current event, so people can't really just google it.
I read everything I could find about this and the best article I saw was: http://www.isciencetimes.com/articl...ake-natron-animal-statues-africa-flamingo.htm
I'd love to dig below the lake to see if by chance any dinosaurs could be preserved. If at all possible.
Maybe a leoplauridon.
One can only dream.
I was hoping for some sort of feathered reptile.
Like a Velociraptor? With feathers?
the lake had high levels of salt or something, which caused the body to calcify but preserve it at the same time.
there really needs to be a movie about this.
and those are REAL pics? fuckin' wow.
it's fucking unbelievable.
just saw payback post the same thread in the sanct, wait til he tries to connect this with the sins of the animals.

Here's the article I've been waiting for.
yes ive seent it
hmmm, it doesn't really discard the fact that the animals still turn into stone.
i mean, i never took the lake to be that of "the gaze of medusa" either, but it still does what it says.
Yeah, a while back.
Well, done. You should join me on imgur.
