Personally, I'm done with them. I came to the realization that they benefit me in absolutely no way. Kinda sucks cuz I recently wasted $30 on a game...

Also, have you ever thought about how much $ you've wasted on them?

Ummmmm, that's not the reason they made video games. It is one of the aspects that is to enjoy life, same goes for television and the entertainment provided and etc..

Of course you have to spend money you worked hard for, or else you wouldn't be enjoying life in the first place, such hypocrisy.

Never. Video games are my stress reliever, silence breaker, party starter, mother, father, lover. I will never say anything negative about video games.

^ Knew that was coming. And yes, I have thought about it.

And this isn't to slander anyone, or judge anyone. It's just something I thought about recently. As far as TV goes, I don't watch much anymore. I cut out all sitcoms, I only watch ESPN and Discovery basically. Things I can learn from.

Movies DO benefit me because there are lessons to be learned. And at the most you spend 3 hours watching one. While you spend countless hours with a video game.

I have to say there have been scientific experiements saying fast paced games have a good affect on hand-eye coordination and response time. As far as "wasting time" no. You buy a game to enjoy the time spent on it just like with movies. Obviously if a person is enjoying the time spent its not a waste.

at times yes, but then i think...i might as well stop watching tv, movies, browsing the internet/dl porn, ect. if i'm not doing anything productive, i'm wasting my life. eventually that got too depressing, so i don't entertain such thoughts anymore.

so instead of doing any one thing for hours on end. i do them in moderation. life is too short to completely deny myself of the few things i enjoy doing...especially when it serves as an escape and/or outlet.

that has to be one of the greatest break downs of the situation....there were times I knew I was playing too many games too....always in moderation is the best way to enjoy the things you like. Too much of anything is never good.

an average person spends 7 years waiting in a lifetime

a good strategy to not waste time with video games is to look at the time when you start playing and tell yourself how long you feel like playing and stick to your word, otherwise you might play for too long and you'll feel lame afterwards.
