navigating through the program is the easiest part of the test but thats only like 20 questions, you got to dissect the entire program... i could prob teach microsoft shit they dont know word can do.

i got the microsoft suit for free when i graduated.. and they gave me a student discount on all the updates

damn that's all they gave you? I got that for free when I went to college, they just gave incoming students a free copy of Microsoft Office Suite.

i get free updates but I never update shit...I prefer the older version I have to the new shit. Oh god I hate the new word..

I got the adobe creative suites package. Only use photoshop though, I fucking hate Premiere, prefer Final Cut or Avid. After Effects, know how to use it but hate using it. I wanna stab it usually

there isn't a market right now for protools, and there isn't an official certification for protools. MSC's have been around for years and theres definately markets that rely heavily on it... the only market protools caters to is music, and thats if you got a big contract.

and word is more sophisticated than protools...

you might no how to navigate it

but you don't know all the functions

you can learn how to do protools online, but there is certain stuff in word that you need to know how to do on the spot, i mean if you in a company, your boss isnt going to wait days for a paper because you don't know what a certain function does

there is an official certification for protools. its an extensive, not to mention expensive program to complete

basically everything you said about word can apply to pro tools

if there certification aint through the pro tools company

    its not official

there is probably a good certification out there but if it aint through the company it aint official

i don't understand why anyone would want to be certified in protools

that is not an everyday type of skill you need on the job unless your an engineer

the certification is through digidesign... which is protools.

its an everyday type skill if you work with audio professionally

im sure its a great income.. but the market is not every day business..

it go's as far as audio editing/production and that's it.. that's just not an every day kind of market.

the microsoft suite is used in many situations

and is a necessary skill if you work in big business's such as finance

stat was a breeze for me and I'm horrid at math.

Avid is the real bitch, had to use it for awhile. Still prefer Final Cut to it.
