For once, forget the critics, forget the ratings and reviews, EXPERIENCE is what we are celebrating here, so just list the top 5 greatest games you ever played for any system/console you own(ed).....

    mines would be:

    Super Nintendo
    5) Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
With the arrival of Playstation and Sega Saturn, 3D was the new era of action gaming. Rare manages to improve upon the already-impressive Donkey Kong Country with amazing graphics, addictive game play, and an epic soundtrack. The level "Brambles in the Sky" (pic above) itself has very captivating background music which made me enter the level just to listen and zone out. This is how 2d platformers should be.
    4) Mortal Kombat 2
Shitting all over the original with better gore, characters, and game play, nothing can topple the pinnacle of Acclaim's series.
    3) Super Mario RPG
Colorful graphics, huge levels, great music, and you team up with Bowser!
    Most enjoyable RPG on SNES.
    2) Street Fighter II
In this time of flashy 3D fighters like Tekken 5 and Soul Calibur 3, the replay value of this classic arcade port remains prime. “Turbo” and “Super” were just minor upgrades.
To this day, I'm willing to throw down. Hadoken!
    1) Super Mario World
[IMG] Absolute classic. It kicked ass all those years ago, and it still kicks ass today.

    Game Boy
    5) Kirby’s Dream Land
Kirby owns, and the final battle against Kamek was truly epic.
    4) Pokemon Gold (Japan)
Can you imagine trying to play a video game using language you can’t understand? Especially a text-ridden RPG? With trial-and-error, and alot of patience, I managed to get pretty damn far. Of course, I missed more than a few important items and paths along the way, but despite the language barrier, I still had tons of fun (proving that you don’t need to speak the same language to appreciate a game this addictive).
    3) Donkey Kong Land
Great levels, great graphics, great music, great platformer. Plus it’s portable.
(Some asshole stole my copy, I hope that muthafucker is dying of AIDS and cancer right now)
    2) Killer Instinct
I played it so much I was able to discover finishing moves, massive combos, and other secrets though trial and error. Very addictive and great replay value.
    1) Pokemon (Blue)
Putting all the pop culture bullshit aside, this was (and still is) an extremely fun video game and addictive RPG. God knows how many hours I played every day during the latter half of 6th grade. Unfortunately, the "missingno" code ultimately corrupted my copy (on the final day of grade six, no less). One of those games you gotta play first-hand to really appreciate how dope it is.

    Nintendo 64
    5) Super Smash Bros.
Can you imagine if the N64 had online capabilities? This game would be #1 on the list.
    4) Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
Solid from beginning to end. And I got it for free. Doesn’t get any sweeter than that.
    3) WCW/NWO Revenge
Hella fun beat-em-up. Colorful graphics, massive roster, tons of modes, and create-your-own-wrestler! The multiplayer is chaotic when you hook up with 3 other knuckleheads!
    2) Mario Kart 64
Shitting all over the original SNES game, Nintendo steps it up with this classic.
Multiplayer mode owns all racing games in a Mushroom boost.
    1) Conker’s Bad Fur Day
Rarely did you find a game rated “M” during the N64’s lifespan, let alone a good one.
Ironically it took a company called “Rare” to do it, and thankfully they finally dropped this gem on the system’s dying days. From parodying movies like Matrix and Saving Private Ryan, CBFD really lets loose with pleasant gore, sex, swearing, and toilet humor. Everything Nintendo doesn’t traditionally stand for, but this is how dope it gets when they do.

    Playstation 2
    coming soon......

Probably Zelda or Mario. I hated the system, even back in the day.

Mario Kart (even though the way everyone always finished every race in the same place drove me nuts, and I spent most of my time trying to fuck up the order.)
    Chrono Trigger
    Mortal Kombat 1 and 2
    Ultimate Mortal Kombat
    Donkey Kong
    WWF Raw
    WWF Royal Rumble

the system was almost good, not worth the hype though.

most of the games I mentioned for SNES
    Sonic 2

    Playstation (best system ever)

    Final Fantasy 7, 8, 9, Tactics
Street Fighter Alpha (forget which one)
tons of good stuff for this

    fuck n64, except Mario Kart.

None are that great, even though there are good games.

not into it much. I like some of the stuff about the system, but the games tend to be boring as hell.

    Gameboy was trash.

How did I forget about that game.

When you play with mines it's sort of funny, since everyone tries to turtle in an area.

    I'm lethal in knife only.

I'm talking about, on the level with all the gree columns, walking into the room with 3 people duking it out...

And murking each one with a head shot.

    FF2 should get more love.

It had everything. I want to make it into a movie one day.

A good knight (but wearing black) fighting for his country, but then realizes that although he is honorable maybe his king isn't.

A best friend, who save you at times, betrays you, and is part of a love triangle, but then eventually finds the way.

A love interest who commands your heart, gets kidnapped (or hurt) a few times and you come to the rescue. Makes you feel like a man eh?

A Kung Fu master named Yang (you can get him back again if you find the Sylph cave and hit him over the head with a pan you get from his wife)

A Ninja Prince (Edge) whose kingdom is destroyed and wants revenge.

RYDIA - dope dope dope, female magic User that beasts everyone! You find her as a child, after you burn her village down, so she calls up a Titan with all her strength and caves you in. Then you care for her, lose her in a tidal wave, only to find her again but grown up and with Black Magic powers to go with her summoning.

I swear she was the Model for the Heroine chick in ff3. Green hair and everything.

Tellah - a powerful mage who has forgotten more than you know. but even with all his wisdom he didn't know how to handle his daughters affections for a cowardly bard and loses her.

Cid - a staple, dwarf dood who pimp out your airship and helps you kick it with the underground dwarves LALIHO!

Palom and Porom - twins who at first are set upon the task of spying on you as you travel to become a paladin, but in the end come to trust you and give the ultimate sacrifice.

Dark Elves, Chocobos (first time with different colors), the Moon, The Whale Ship, a prohpecy, Turning in to a Paladin on Mount Ordeal, Lebviathan, Palom and Poroms sacrifice.. losing characters and finding them if you look hard enough, shit I can go on. And that's not even mentioning all the dope items in the game you could find.

ANyone else get a pink tail on the moon? Take that back to the dwarf armormaker and you get the best armor in the game. Thing is, those creams you fight to get them, appear only rarely and a lot of the time they ran away. And they only appear in 1 place.

Even as thorough and dedicated and RPger, I'm sure there are still something I missed. Talk about ultimate replay value.

This game set the stage for the rest to follow. It wasn't just a game, it was an experience.

I trudge those lonely mountains with Cecil, questioning self and country.

Justice is not the only right in the world.

Perfect Dark for N64 was a great shooter, if not a bit overrated. It was infinitely more times better than Goldeneye, though.

N64 had some fun games but there was too few of em.

    Good thread.

Nintendo -- Mario 1 & 3. Classic side scrolling action.
The first Zelda. Dope's still fun really.

Sega -- Sonic The Hedgehog (all). There was nothing as fast or as fun as sonic when he came out. Its a shame all Sonic games are horrible now.

Mortal Kombat -- I think I first got this on Sega. This was the fucking game to have back then, fun...and changed fighting games forever.

Street Fighter Alpha 2 -- Another dope fighting game, really fun arcade style game.

Super Nintendo -- Mario World - Reinvented Mario, and gave him Yoshi.

Donkey Kong Country -- Real fun sidescroller.

    Mario Kart -- Addictively fun

Nintendo 64 -- Mario 64. The first truly 3d game I believe, very dope game, much more fun than Sunshine.

Goldeneye -- The Halo of its time.

Playstation -- Metal Gear Solid -- Best stealth game ever for the original playstation.

Resident Evil -- Revolutionized survival horror franchise.

Tomb Raider -- Another dope franchise off to a start on playstation.

Syphon Filter -- The original was one of the funnest games I ever played.

Gran Turismo -- While I dont care much for it now, I invested serious hours in it back in the playstation days.

GTA2 -- A prelude of things to come...

Crazy Taxi -- So simple, yet so fun.
Resident Evil Code Veronica was nice too.

GTA franchise, while I do think its boring now, it was undeniably fun.

    Hitman Series.

Metal Gear franchise is the same. Good, not as good as Ps1 versions tho.

    Metal Gear Twin Snakes

    All 3 Resident Evil games.

Luigis mansion is actually funner than Mario.

    XBOX 360

    Fight Night round 3.

The end was the worst part.

Great game, and then they throw the easiest two bosses in history at you after building them up to godly status for hours.
