Anyone have any tips for a price worthy piece of equipment that I can record nature sounds and that kind of stuff with and then connect to my laptop via usb cable?

Its like a techno jungle you have to machete through because theres so many options and I wanted to see if theres anyone who had any tips on a specific one :)

    Thanks a lot in advance

Tascam dr-100 is really good.. I'm pretty sure it's usb and sd.. tell you what though.. whatever you get.. a windscreen is a must.. they all sound bad without one.. you're going to want a furryhead one or like a rode dead kitten windscreen, or a redhead.. good luck

Thanks a bunch Roush, that is exactly the piece I need and i can get a really good price for it with all sorts of kit to go. I dig that you can overdub with it (not as crisp as multitrack but hey its great for my budget)!

Again, appreciate the fast response :)
