I'm watching The Death of Yugoslavia currently.
Most of the documentaries bbc made are propaganda bullshit.
Yugoslavia wasnt communist, people always think there is only communism and capitalism, Yugoslavia was in between, National Socialist, much like Hitlers Germany, low unemployment rate, almost everyone had a place to live, good salary, good education.
Am the only one who's burnt out over the collective obsession with that era?
I mean, thanks.
I am actually really ignorant about the region, but pretty much everyone interviewed seems to think Communism was the glue holding the Yugoslavs together. Also, economic problems and lack of capitalistic reform is something I've heard cited as the chief issue that led to unrest in the final decades of the nation.
It exposes how evil sea world really is.
So you want documentaries, but dont want to watch that one?
Tito was holding Yugoslavia together, nobody else.
USA, EU and Russia worked together to bring Yugoslavia down and they succeeded, while Tito was alive they couldnt do shit.
Yeah, I sound spoilt.
It's true about Tito (imo), but I agree with the Yugoslavs interviewed: there was somewhat minimal success after Tito with the Communist regime because Communism generally refused to be manipulated by Serbian, etc. whims.
This one's really good and[I/] short:
