You are such a lemming.
I would LOVE to see the intricacies in 2pac's profound lyrics.
Please, enlighten us all with this revolutionary poet's thoughts!
Polishin pistols prepare for battle pass the pump
When I get to poppin niggaz is droppin then they done
Callin the coroner come collect the fuckin corpse
He got it by killer, preoccuppied with bein boss
Revenge is the method, whenever steppin keep a weapon close
Adversaries are overdosed over deadly notes
Jealous niggaz and broke bitches equal packed jails
Hit the block and fill your pockets makin crack sales
Picture perfection pursuin paper with a passion
Visions of prisons for all the pussies that I blasted
Runnin with criminals individuals with no remorse
Try to stop me my pistol posse's usin deadly force
In my brain all I can think about is fame
The police know my name, a different game, ain't a thing changed
I'm seein cemetary photos of my peers
Conversatin like they still here, if I die tonight
He uses a lot of ALLITERATION. Not sure if your ignant ass know what that is but you can find it here:
Alliteration - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
lol, that shit is so terrible.
I have my BA in English Literature you dummy, of course I know what it is.
What did you get your degree in again? I've studied REAL poets, get this garbage out of my face.
That garbage looks like something you would see in a text battle.
You sure you didn't conjure that garbage up?
To save you some time, there isn't anything you can post that is going to convince me.
Aesop Rock is 10x's the poet 2pac could have ever hoped to be.
C'mon P, What Pac was on All Eyes On Me was mad, not a gangster. He's always been associated but not a gangster.
Snoop, Daz, Kurupt, Slip etc were gangsta. i.e. claiming sets, claiming crip actually grew up in a gang.
Pac was a nigga with a chip on his shoulder, who wanted to get out of prison and took the only road that was available to him.
Like Shock G had said, all the laughing Pac was doing on AEOM was forced.
He sign a three album deal with Deathrow and was done recording enough songs for those three albums in a few weeks.
He was trying to get the fuck outta there cause he was supposed to retire after Me Against The World but thats when the drama started.
He did his best with the hand he was delt and it was a fucked up hand he had to play.
If you dont think Pac shit was poetic, you don't know the meaning.
I know you couldn't come close to writting some ill shit if you had two months to do it.
You're right, I studied the art, not practiced it. Where did I claim to be some prolific poet?
You really don't argue very well.
Go read a book.
I'm sorry of 2pac's brand of poetry lures idiots like you in, but there's real poets(contemporary and Romantic) that shit on this trash you're praising.
If I don't know the meaning of poetic, could you please enlighten me and drop your current credentials.
nigga please, I don't argue.
You can argue all you want.
I read constantly, you can miss me with your frail insults.
I don't a BS in English Literature, I have my MBA, my BS in Media Art and BS in Audio Production and I'm bout to go to med school.
Your credentials don't help you in your argument cause you don't think this is a matter of opinion. I don't see how you could feel that way when you think Jay-Z is a better artist than Tupac.
Actually, when you're questioning my outlook on poetry, it does factor in.
Seeing how I've read much, much, much, more poetry and literature than you have, I can easily say I grasp the concept a lot better than you do.
Frail insults? You think me telling you that you don't argue very well is an insult? This all spawned from your obsessive love for the man.
Aesop Rock is more of a square then you are.
These white college kids kill me.
I'm not white and I finished college a few years ago.
you such a nerd.
word up, niggas took that style and tried to run with it. you soft niggas need to thank Pac, lol
Twampsin back to his trollin' ways.
"They say pussy and paper is poetry,
Power and pistols"
He's drawing an analogy of sorts. Paper brings pussy, and pistols bring power. A women will bow down to a man if he's got money, and a man will bow down to another man if he's holding a gun.
The "poetry" he refers to lies in the false sense of power. Neither truly has a monopoly on power because both sides are motivated by the other. He's implying that women are powerless in the face of money just as men are in the face of pussy. We chase what they want because they have what we want. It's "poetry".
I'm sure you're sitting there patting yourself on your back, but this breakdown still doesn't sway my opinion. You could pick apart ANYONE'S lyrics and claim that they're poetry.
So basically 2pac is basically repeating Scarface's maxim? If you guys really think this is some grandeur type of poetry, then you need to open your minds and research some real music. It's funny that many people's favorite rapper can be traced back to the lifestyle of one overrated 80's movie.
No wonder these lyrics impress people like Tampon$in and others. He's not saying ANYTHING relevant, or interesting to my life.
^exactly, he dont speak to your life, thank GOD
pac is for the real niggaz
i only know nerds that dont like 2pac
any real person i have ever met, we had that in common
pac speakz to the most people
datz why he #1
God does not exist.
I'll let you borrow my copy for starters...
Lol stop layin brah. You're there patting yourself on YOUR back. It didn't matter what I posted. You were gonna shoot it down. You've already told yourself that Pac is some ignorant ass nigga with ignorant ass lyrics who speaks to ignorant ass people. You probably couldn't wait for a response. The very notion of putting me in my place was probably keepin you up for days.
Just as easily as I broke it down, you could just as easily discredit and twist it to the point to where it suits your point of view.
Yes he does. Just because his music is put in a certain context, that doesn't mean you can't apply it to your own life and your own circumstances. That's the problem. A white boy from Kansas could relate to Pac just as easily. Money, women, family, friends, faith... these are themes within his music that anyone can relate to.
edit: Damn, an atheist too? Now it makes sense. I was an atheist too once, honest. I ain't hatin on you or nothin because I respect where you're coming from, but it's definitely not a shocker. It's very typical of atheist behavior to feel they're intellectually superior than everyone else. Just sayin'
And Richard Dawkins is a narrow minded prick.
