    Hahahhaha, you must be white.

Anyways, Scarface, Outkast, and UGK. There's three legends, now shut your face.

maybe i am maybe i aint...and guys like chris rock NEVER said Em is the greatest rapper or anything...and whether im white or black, i can still admit to the fact that behind all the succesful black rappers and producers there's still some white guy signin the paychecks.

I'm not quite sure what that had to do with anything or how it relates to your argument about legendary emcees but as homeboy said: Outkast (definitely), Scraface (I don't think AS big of an impact "globally" as Outkast would have...but some and enough nonetheless). Those two are enough.

With that said, I do believe the Crunk era is just a fad. But Hip Hop is based off of fads, trends and phases (unfortunately). I HATE most southern music and all crunk. And I'm from Texas. All in all, it's all fads:

you had the political rap, you had the West Coast Gangsta Rap, the. East Coast take over with their gutter and grime with Wu set in as a fad, then there was the soulful phase (which is still very much in affect, just not as prominent) and crunk, and so on and so forth. And all those fads branch off into styles...facets, and birthes a different type of core fans and developing emcees/producers.

    I'm just playing devil's advocate...

If Eminem wasn't played on those corny ass alternative rock stations, we wouldn't have this problem.

this was cause all the sudden it got racial...somehow i must be white cause i mentioned eminem as great.

but im sorry dog, i dont think those names can even go into the same sentence as the greats that i mentioned when it comes to GLOBAL legendary AND timeless status...i doubt people are gonna mention Outkast very much in conversations about the greatest emcees in 10 years

way to support your dog there nova. urb's lucky to have you as his boy. does urb do more than make beats and peddle em on the internet to a market with a majority a cats who really cant afford 3, 4, $500 for just a beat? the reason cats like blaze, kanye, dre get 50 g's is cause they marketin to millionaires...someone in the hood wit no deal...$500 is tough change ta come up wit on a regular basis. and since everyone producin now, you dont really gotta pay dat much for a hot commercial quality beat...but urb...if you pitchin them tracks for that much on the reg, den good shit...hope you get a deal dog

remixes are better than voice tags imo atleast people can hear a song around something and decide if they like it or not. some people like myself arent gifted in the art of remixing tho :(
