    ... bare with me.

not based on, but consider the saying, sleep is the cousin of death.

what happens when you sleep? you dream like a motherfucker. nobody is yet to figure out the science behind dreams, but whatever it might be, it has to be related to your sub conscious. now, whatever you may have heard/seen throughout the day, you sometimes see vague similarities of such things in your dreams as you sleep.

now, what happens when you die? i heard some people start singing out madonna songs just before their death. is it because they are cursed and going to hell? fuck no. it's because they've been listening to madonna songs, and her lyrics have unfortunately been imprinted in their sub conscious.

so in death, you will dream whatever you've seen/heard during your life. if you've heard about heaven and hell, you'll be experiencing it, especially if it's always been in the back of your mind (like the religious folk). so for you athiests believing in nothingness, that's what you'll get after your mind is done.

who the fuck knows how long a second in death time is. in a dream, you might think you're in there for a fuck long, but it's only been one or two minutes in reality. that's just a temporary dream, sleep is not permanent. death is. so imagine how long you're sub conscious is going to dream for. what may seem like an "eternity" might only be the time it takes for your mind to rot.

but having said that, if all this shit is true - i'll be in heaven with pornstars.

seen too much porn during my lifetime.

Imagine a state where whatever sin you adhered to the most on earth u continued to try and satisfy that need over, and over and over knowing your doing it and not being able to stop. Forever. An at the same time knowing there is no longer any hope and ur destined to repeat the action for eternity.

Thats one part of what goes on in hell.

lol. i guess you are partly correct in your theory. but death means cessation of all life including consciousness. so you cant really refer to the afterlife as ''death''. Biological death perhaps. but you dont know if thats a permanent stage either..

for today, i give you the following spiritual homework

realize: all biological life is always imperfect, it can never be perfect as proven biologically by evolution.. yet it is a perfect playing ground for your soul to grow..and that journey may not necessarily be over after you abanonded your current physical body.

Kinda touched on this subject here,

    http://board.rapmusic.com/sanctuary/1292583-religious-brain-vs-athiest-brain.html

    To quote myself

It was more about Religious Person assumes their NDE is a sight of heaven where as an Atheist person will see it as an illusion or dream. All because of how our brains have been developed. So even upon death each individual person is so convinced of the outcome they're basically going to see whatever they want to see.

I like the idea of the Pineal Gland being our Third Eye/Crown Chakra releasing intense hallucinogenic drugs mainly Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) during REM sleep and upon death. And so it facilitates the visions we see and experience in those moments.

I'd love for the final moments before death to be a hallucinatory experience that feels like an eternity on the subjective level.

Sort of like an extreme LSD trip where your perception of time is so distorted that a mere fragment of a second feels like a millennium.

our minds are an amazing and complex thing. if this theory was true that would kick ass for the people that believe they have 70 virgins waiting for them in heaven.

as far as atheist will experience nothingness, you may be correct. although perhaps we could mentally manipulate the experience and create total anarchy in this "death dream" sort of similar to how some people are great at knowing they are dreaming and manipulating their own dreams.

i wonder where that leaves people who had their brains blown out

out of curiosity, where did you quote the 70 virgins from?

overheard someone use it as a rebuttal against muslims, or you actually read?

    don't google it.

and you need to go back to school just for a little while.

    it'll help you comprehend questions.

    no matter how simple.

that was my point though, the time changes when you're in sleep.

so it'll change ten fold more when you're facing death, no?

and snowy, what would a blind person see?

i honestly don't remember my dreams

    ever

at most sometimes just before i wake up i am dreaming but i'm sorta controlling the dream as well, it's weird

but if matter can't be created or destroyed

so basically whatever matter we have in this universe will remain constant

    no more, no less

so our body (matter) decomposes and eventually returns to the earth, whether buried or cremated, same shit

what happens to our soul/spirit (matter)?

yeh well it presents a few possible theories

    you mentioned past life/reincarnation

transcends to heaven or descends to hell

or is the soul/spirit simply physical too (third eye/pineal gland)

i don't know but when i first thought of it my brain melted

It is appointed for men to die once than judgement. So dont expect to come back as a butterfly. When people think or say oh ya i was a alchohalic fireman in my past life. In some cases that may not be farfrom the truth. However the spirit telling them they were a drunk fireman just means the spirit in them used to embody a alchohalic fireman.

past life: i saw this thing a while back about this lady who was able to find her way around a town she never been to, knew about this ladies life who lived 100 years ago, right down to the last detail. i wonder how that's possible...

third eye/pineal gland: im not sure how this goes together with the soul/spirit being physical. i think of the third eye as a meditation technique and not something having to do with the afterlife. but maybe u can explain it to make mi understand.

i understand ur christian views but read what he said:

"but if matter can't be created or destroyed

so basically whatever matter we have in this universe will remain constant

    no more, no less

so our body (matter) decomposes and eventually returns to the earth, whether buried or cremated, same shit

what happens to our soul/spirit (matter)?

its a great question with a much more complicated answer. the spirit in them used to embody an alcoholic fireman? i thought u believed that everybody has a unique spirit
