    The universe is pure fire
It has consciousness just like me
    It shines through my eyes
    I can overcome
    But I cannot escape
The fundamental truth of reality, the universe
    Which is fire.
    It is pain and conflict
    It shines through our eyes
    We can overcome
    But we can’t escape
    We believe in Gods -
    Who reflect our ideals
    Who reflect our image
    To escape the fundamental -
    Heraclitean truth of all things
    Which is fire.

this poem is very declarative but its not so clear exactly what its declaring. it's a little too abstract as it stands. maybe try inserting some imagery or more concrete examples to help illustrate exactly what it is you are trying to say.
