Films where the sequel is better than the original?

I disagree with Godfather, Rocky, Batman, and Back to the Future.

Batman 2 is viewed as the worst of them all by most critics and fans. What did you see different?

I haven't watched 13 yet, but I'm hoping it's better than 12.

Batman and Batman Returns(Burton Films) were both great, but like with the Godfather and Back to the Future series, i prefer the sequel...although not by much.

everyone knows the Joel Schumacher Batman Forever and Batman & Robin were the worst Bat films.

Batman and Robin was truly garbage. Cheesy lines, really rubbish acting, bright, garish primary colours, crap plot, big plotholes within said plot.

It's regarded by some as the worst film ever. It's surely up there.

Batman Returns had too many villains. And they were all shitty.

1.) Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
2.) Raiders of the Lost Ark/Indiana jones and the last crusade.

Which is why I labeled the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom as my number one choice in the series over Raiders of the Lost Ark which tied with the last crusade.

I was thinking of penguin and catwoman, but I think I got it mixed up with Forever.

Returns was probably the best of the first 4, but even it was pretty forgettable.

Speaking of sequels, National treasure 2 was much better than one.
