I don't get any fighter hype. They all look the same. Nothing has changed but the graphics, and they still suck.

    In my opinion, yes.

street fighter IV seems ok, but it's not really the style I wanted.

And street fighter 4 animations aren't true to form, the animations look bulky and awkward. The controls are simple from what i've read and you can't even perry.

And KOF's gameplay is strictly focused on being a 2D high-res fighter for next-gen consuls. Even the backgrounds are hand drawn. They stuck too their roots. which is why I like it.

The game is exactly what i've been looking for in a next gen fighter.

I account for gameplay as well as graphics.

You're Hilarious, this coming from a hypocrite that prefers hand draw 2d fighters. Make up your mind. We already know King of fighters deliveres gameplay wise. It's not simplistic in the least. However, street fighter IV is going to be. Sometimes you come off sounding like a bitter ass dude. And the last time I checked this was called, Game Zone. So you can stop with all that hype bullshit. People on this site calmed they perfered 2d fighters that were hand drawn. King of fighters is that game. I thought those people would like this.

Graphics matter most in a fighting game, it makes the combat more intricate and complex.....

like the new UFC game, with the graze punches and shit, so depending on where you land it does different damage......has the potential to elevate the gameplay realism ten fold if done right....

or the lack of need for a hud in Fight Night, makes the gameplay more realistic

That's your opinion. I've played both and have to disagree. I happen to think the street fighter franchise is way overrated. And I also believe they've runined it with this new americanized Street fighter IV. Ken's head-butt isn't even in the game.

And if you do love hand drawn 2d fighters like you calm you should be giving way more praise to SNK who unlike capcom are actually trying to put out the best soild hand drawn 2d fighter game fans like us relish on and on about.

KOFXI took alot more skill than street fight 2. Street fighter 2 didn't even have linked combos/speical move system or 3 on 3 team battles, but KOFXI did.

3rd strike is the best street fighter game ever hands down, but I'd say The King of Fighters XI was equivalent to it's gameplay. KOFXI had a similar street fighter 3 perry system and everything. Street fighter IV is going to be terrible because it's nothing like 3rd strike and it's more or less for casual gamers.

Without updated polygonal models, improvements in hit detection like that are impossible. So yeah they are "different" but relate 100%.....if you have a little 8bit sprite hit detection like the one they are trying is impossible.
