my nuts would chaffe trying to do something so bold as to pick an all time favorite movie. picking favorites from different genres seems like a better idea. and i know that some of these would classify as multi-genre films.

Drama- Mi Familia, Matchstick Men, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Platoon, Apocalypse Now, A Beautiful Mind(Fuck you again), Forrest Gump, Natural Born Killers, Blow, 25th Hour, The Godfather, a Bronx Tale, What's eating gilbert grape, Miller's Crossing, Wonder Boys, Shawshank Redemption, Requiem for a Dream

Foreign- Amorres Perros, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Su Excelencia, City of God, Carandiru, Irreversible, Motorcycle Diaries, Amelie, Chunking Express, Sex and Lucia

Horror- American Psycho, Sleepy Hollow, The Evil Dead(1 and 2), The Shinning

Independant- Slacker, Donnie Darko, Kids, Ghost World, Igby goes down, Clerks, Pi, Good Will Hunting, Frida

Mystery/Thriller- Suicide Kings, The Usual Suspects, Resevoir Dogs, Wicker Park, Sin City, Seven, From Hell, L.A. Confidential, Memento, The Salton Sea, Fight Club, Snatch, Lock Stock and 2 smoking Barrels

Romance- Romeo+Juliet, High Fidelity, Chasing amy, Secretary, Punch drunk love, A walk to Remember, Moulin Rouge
