for real. this shit looks wowsers. hopefully it's not one of those instances where the preview totally shits on the movie itself.

Most people remember the Evil Dead movies for Ash's personality, charm and one-liners, but they let that overshadow what the original Evil Dead was. The original Evil Dead was a pure horror film and the final scenes were disturbing. I think the new Evil Dead movie is just gonna take it up a notch where the horror elements are concerned. I'm not sure if the blood and guts and all that shit will surpass the original's though. That was hardcore.

oh for sure, I appreciated the artistry in the works of both 1 & 2

I saw them for the first time when I was like 8 and it was the scaryest shit id ever seen. Years later when I was older I watched them again and laughed and laughed and laughed. Its a very disturbing movie. But to me it was always a comedy out of absurdity, but I don't actually think It was written as a comedy like the 3rd installment "army of darkness" was. But its my favorite horror movie of all time. When hes getting chased through the woods, the way they used the camera as the monster, that shit still gives me chills. Being chased is a freaky feeling. Anyway I imagine this movie will be disturbing as hell. I just hope they can capture that feeling of being stuck out in the woods in a shitty cabin like they did in the first.

Will be a lot of overacting in this movie.
Evil Dead 1 was pure horror movie,it might seem funny now,but most horror movies from then are funny now because the movies seem more real now.
Also it had very low budget.
That chick is already annoying me.

All I know is that this remake better be good. I might actually pay 8.50 to see this on the big screen.

I finally saw it. I thought it was good. I liked how every possession was referenced in the book. I didn't really understand the deal with Mia near the end (before the final showdown) though.

The movie didn't scare me. I owe it to the first Evil Dead and Hellbound: Hellraiser II for desensitizing me forever.
