nah, homie... he solidified it from 1999 to 2003...

his skill level was just too high... anyone who put out verses of that caliber deserves to be in the top 10...

I mean, that renegade verse? his verse on Dead Wrong? Dude was godlike...

His recent work knocks him out of the goat conversation... which imo should be between Nas and 2pac... and possibly BIG

but Em is def. top 10

I'd love to hear your ten though

He's not in mine either. I don't subscribe to his brand of music - it's filled with teenage angst, but he's like 37. Too old to be making the type of music he does.

I think he is a great technical rapper, as far as rhyme schemes, bending words, etc - but his music is pretty soulless. He's like a woman with a fat ass and no titties.

I think Eminem is the GOAT, sure he had some weird phases of music in his career but I mean the guy has so many memorable verses and songs at this point, also his freestyles are ridiculous!.

So yeah I agree that he's not top ten because he's #1. I find it strange that people do not see him as the GOAT.

I don't see how people use Em's latter work to knock him off GOAT, or even top 10 status. I know it's ridiculous to compare Rap to Basketball but, people don't knock MJ off of GOAT status because of his time with the Wizards (although basketball is more physical and rap is more mental, but it's still work). People fall off. EVERYONE has...any rapper you can name has fell from their prime. But off of Prime alone and the length of time that he was unfuckwitable, he has to be at LEAST top 3.

From SSLP to the 8 mile soundtrack, and a little afterwards, he was untouchable. I've never seen ANY other rapper become untouchable at any point in their careers. It was insane.

Id say he's top 10 he still brings it IMO.

He has evolved, he was just a young kid when he dropped all that goat material. He still has the mechanics, just doesn't see things the same as when he was 25. His shit always grows on Me these days. He is less of a punchline rapper more of a flower of late. Either way, its a preference thing. I'd say his list of rappers better than him in Til I collapse is pretty accurate.

lol em rhyme patterns alone makes him worthy of being up there with the greats and his catalog from slim shady lp all the way to recovery is classic.
