i respect wayne for getting on everyones shit, i mean, hes a cool dude for that. but he cant rap. he mumbles. he has no flow. he has no talent. he makes catchy hooks, and he gets hot beats. thats all he has going for him

Whoa, Philly has some of the best rappers around.

Cassidy, Gillie, JMT, Reed Dollaz, Joey Jihad (though he hasn't been the same since getting cold cocked), Cyssero, are all sick. And that's only a few of 'em...

^That was some pussy shit if I've ever seen it. I hate how mother fuckers think they're tough because they blind-side a dude for no apparent reason when Joey had no reason to expect that was gonna happen...

black people in the south listen to Eminem. We don't fuck with that outrageous shit like KIM and throwing his baby mama in the river and shit like that. That's that bullshit. His regular shit yep...Superman is my favorite song from him. Most likely one of my top 50 songs.

And Eminem didn't sell because he was white, he sold because he was talented, controversial and it just so happens that he was white.

    Thank you for being sensible.

And those philly artists are far from terrible. They are a specific kind of rapper, street rappers with rapid fire punches. They're not gonna put out profound concepts or extended metaphors or deep allegorical stories or shit like that, just quick-witted lyrics that are clever as hell.

There are many sub-genres of rap, each one holds respectable talent. Philly happens to hold the most talent in that sub-genre of hip-hop. A true hip-hop head has at least respect for each sub-genre...

    ^I whole heartedly disagree.

As much as it pains me to say this a NY head, Cali has A LOT of budding talent.

Chi just has Lupe and Elzhi...

    I hated UMC.

And I don't get the hype about Rhymefest, I've looked into his shit, maybe I looked into the wrong shit, but nothin' about him impresses me...

I hear that a lot & as much I don't understand it, I don't understand why anyone would listen to T.I., Young Jeezy, or half the other artists that push numbers so I feel everyone is entitled to their own opinions...

Rhymefest first impressed me on the battle scene, & proved he could make songs that were heart felt & did them with ease, he's also proved he can make club songs that don't sound like a porno... that's what has impressed me. Personally next to Saigon he is one of my favorite artists currently doing it.
