    CALEFACT - ur dead.

    15. TEKNEEK:
You commemorate a year after your best friend died by visiting his grave one afternoon at the mortuary... --- you walk around seeing how beautiful the place is in the afternoon.... and you reflect... -- to your left an old aging man in a derby hat sits... motionless... looking down with a cane supporting his lean... and you look at him.... thinking deeply.... how he feels and what he's been thru.... and then u look down wondering... then back at him...

TO THE BEAT OF "MY WAY" by NAS
    from "THE LOST TAPES" album!

I took a last final look… to those died in behind
Repressed from adolescence when my morning window shine
This beautiful place.. a fabrication of death
Supposedly peaceful… I could hardly puff a breath
Confided into you… a true friend of my own
Enabled commemorations of me so alone
These statues that stood amongst the many quiet graves
Sent my heart a vivid message… I gotta be saved
The mourners who cried… sit before to speak the silence
A world full of deaths with no act to be defiant
This old man that sat… with his derby hat was slanted
Leaning on his cane felt his sorrows in expansions
He laid a purple rose imported in from Cairo
The tears shed in gaze with both of his eyes closed
My fears within had paused to whats ahead of me
The glory of a new dawn died in just upsettin’ me
I sat back. extractin out the pain in my thoughts
The day that my birth strained my stomach in knots
From the burrows of the fetus deep inside of my moms
To the soils deep beneath while the priest sings the Psalms
I was gazing along… while the wind whispered steadily
To tell in its silence.. this world now was dead to me
My eyes blinked again to find in my reality
The old man was gone… and time consumed rapidly
These thoughts had betrayed me… what was I thinkin’
The many days I sat ponder’ thru many weekends
I couldn’t get the old man… outta my mind
To figure out what life’s worth … I just gotta find
And when I stood alone in what I use to involve
I look around in my life.. to find my answers unsolved
I walked back hesitant.. to re-greet my friend
Stood before on his grave so I can pay respects again
This time I wont forget about the things that we did though
Although the many times when the good times were missed yo
    I couldn’t forget you… and never I will
Cus when that old man was there.. my spine shivered with chills
To know I had to understand exactly the deal
When I stood in this cemetery… frozen and still

You were left here…. And I missed ya....

But I was lookin at myself when I leaned in to kiss ya…

(the spirit of TEKNEEK walks away from the grave only to leave in a swirling mist….. the old man still sitting in the same place he use to be.. with his derby over his face… leaning on his cane…

and on the grave… it reads: R.I.P. TEKNEEK).

    THE END
