Was about to post this track.. One of their greatest tracks ever..
Don't Say Nuthin' wasn't a Roots track, it was Black Thought over Scott Storch production.......
Things Fall Apart stays in the rotay
Cigar Life on Tapatalk 215
Still on the roots album tho
I have listened to all of their albums... and they're just not as consistent to me post-TFA... they still got dope tracks here and there... but their first 3 major label albums were all classics... Do You Want More??!!, Illadelph Halflife and Things Fall Apart... after that, Tipping Point is their highest point to me... I didn't like How I Got Over at all, so I was pretty much done after that.
How I Got Over might be my favorite behind Phrenology. But do you brah.
quotive hates the roots like neezy hates brushing his teeth
I bet you don't like their first 3, though... different sensibilities.
Actually, I do. Organix is that sh!t man.
They just went into a different direction after Things Fall Apart... and I'm not saying their post-millennial work is all bad, because it's not... it just not as consistent as their '90s work to me... and then I don't like Malik B. not being a regular member anymore.
How anyone doesn't appreciate the brilliance of Undun is beyond me playa.
I tried to cop that joint, but it got lost in the mail and I was gonna re-order it, but I said fuck it... I may still check it out.
Then don't speak on it if you haven't heard it bruh. It's a fucking masterpiece.
Lmao man you on some senior citizen shit. Get itunes or spotify.
I love me some Roots. REAL HIP HOP ish.
my shit back in the day man
used to drop zones off to this shit
I love their later shit... much more than their earlier work actually... I just like the sound...
my fav album from them is how i got over...
Game theory is also my shit.
and that album they put out with John Legend was just amazing.
I prefer the hardware... I like the artwork... I'm a collector.... I burn songs to make mixes when I'm not thinking about coppin' individual albums... but for my favorite artists, I always cop their CDs or LPs.
For me, it goes in order:
Do You Want More??!!?
Things Fall Apart
And then it's like ehhh after that... with a few songs here and there that I'm feelin'.
