    ninjitsu is cool

my problem with learning martial arts is that i learn it to defend myself, all the weapons training sometimes bugs me cuz who fights with swords/spears/staff anymore? lol but its the tradition that keeps it in their systems. I train in Wing chun and we learn the Bot Jarm do(butterfly swords) and the Luk Dim Boon Kwun(six and a half point pole)

hung ga? as in tiger/crane style? might be different cuz tiger style is hung gar

i dabbled in that a bit, the first Wing chun school i went to was a specific lineage that had some hung gar in the system

the weapons training teaches you about distance, and angling & intent...

we work alot with projecting and receiving intent to read opponents & unbalance them in subtle ways...

its a hard sell but more than worth it imo

san shou is good man.. expecially if you learn from the right ppl... the school i train at though isnt traditional san shou tho, cuz we learn knee's etc and focus on punches alot, dont even focus on side kicks that much

weapons training can maginfy things you wouldn't neccesarily notice being unarmed...

we also train to use anything as a weapon

fundamental applications for different weapons can apply to other objects aswell
