simple question. I like a lot of yall opinions, yes even the smelly brits and polite canadians.

So I was wondering what you all think, has Obama done a good job? A bad one? How so?

He doesn't have the balls to do what he actually thinks. He's too indecisive. He overly listens to both sides when at times the Republicans have no logical case as to why something should be their way instead of the other.

He spoke on how he was so happy for the Egyptian people, and how the Egyptian security forces should allow their citizens to freely express themselves, yet he doesn't comment on OWS, and he allows non-violent protesters to be beat and pepper-sprayed.

He hasn't goofed majorly, so that's a really good thing for him.

    I'd give him a 6/7 out of 10 as a rating.

From a canadian perspective who follows US politics casually...

    He's been ok, I'd give him a C+ or B-

His partisan approach has been a clear failure...
however the Republicans goal has been to make Obama a 1 term president...
and not to help the American people/econmy.

He's in bed with the banks despite the tough talk on regulation.
He is a terrible negotiator who collapses like a fold up chair when real change is on the line.

To me though, he's just been a lesser of 2 evils... to the Republican candidates...who are like an SNL skit most the time.

The one major pro Obama has going for him is Osama's offing...
which is almost ironic because when he was elected, it was on a mandate of hope and peace....meanwhile he's got his Rainbow 6 or whatever tactical team murking pure mans across the globe.

Unfortunately a black (of half black) democratic president has seemed to rally the racist right and has plunged the country into deeper divisions then when George W. was running the show.

Just some random thoughts of mine. Take it with a grain of salt.

Can't speak for all of Canada... but our demongraphics are a bit like the US....where the metropolitan areas are more Liberal (Democratic) while the rural areas (which is LOTS of Canada) is more Conservative.

If you look at what was handed over to Obama from Bush, I'd say he's done ok... still a lot of work to go. It's like the plane was on a nose dive crash and Bush handed the steering wheel to Obama.

I heard the other day that for the first time in history, the average middle class's income declined between 2009 and 2010. That's fucked up!

It's definetly an intertesting period in time to be alive and witnessing the US go from a Super Power to not.

lol...i dont know what to say that won't be/hasn't been said.

but it should also go on record that i support a socialist society with a communistic economy
maybe that will give you a clue as to why i don't fuck with Obama...or the rest of the US govmt

But tbh honest, he's a puppet and doesn't REALLY run the country

    no.

i might consider him going in the right direction if he stops the drone attacks, though.

as it stands he's a mass murderer. like every other US president.

Obama been good to rich white folks

Black folks on the other hand....

Nah but seriously, Obama has accomplished alot in his tenure so far, but I still have issues with his style and what he hasn't accomplished (maybe I'll write what they are when I get off of work). But he is still far better than any Republican candidate at the moment. Read where Scholars already rank him at amongst all presidents.

uhh good question. unfortunately the states has a history of imperialism so one would have to go back far, and i don't know history well enough to give a name. but i can definitely say kennedy, eisenhower, nixon, johnson, etc are all responsible for horrific war crimes. maybe carter wasn't an outright murderer but his foreign policies made conditions where massacres were occurring (look at indonesia) pretty bad. he was complicit.
