    Schools for fools right?

    -Copywrite your works-

    Copywrite you work, no matter if it's beats or rhymes. This means before you upload in on a website, send it out to a record company or a radio station, basically before you put it in the hands of people.

    -Register you works-

    Get register with either BMI or ASCAP.
    To become a writer member, you must be the writer or co-writer of a musical composition or a song that has been:
    (1)commercially recorded (CD, record, tape, etc.);

    (2)or, performed publicly in any venue licensable by ASCAP (club, live concert, symphonic concert or recital venue, college or university, etc.);

    (3)or, performed in any audio visual or electronic medium (film, television, radio, Internet, cable, pay-per-view, etc.);
    or, published and available for sale or rental.
    It's good to get PAID for what you do...

    -Network with the right folk who will help you progress-

    -Get seen in the public eye (shows)-

    You got a hot song recorded, yeah that's nice....
    Your lil sister put your song in her i-pod, SO WHAT!!!!!
    Get your ass out the house and do some shows and show you listeners what else you have to offer as an artist. The more shows you do the better, it not only sharpens your skills up stage wise, but it also opens more doors for you.

    -No Grind No Shine-

    While you sit in the house and tell ya friends how great of a music artist you are and not doing shit, it's a milion other music artist putting in ground work.
    **Establish yourself a street team...........
    **After you get at Hard Target :bigthumb: for you cd cover graphics, go to Acid Flyers and get your product duplicated, from cd covers, flyers, posters, banners, fuckin door hangers whatever....GET IT!!!!! Then go to Shop 4 Tech and get all the blank cds you need, you can also get blank dvds, cd duplicators, cd and dvd cases, whatever....GET IT!!!!! Or if you don't want to go to Shop 4 Tech then holla @ Big CJ, he has a cd duplicating offer you can't refuse.

    By you doing all of this, word of mouth gets about, and it ain't nothing wrong with free promotion, C Rena will tell you that!!

    But to make a long story short, do you can care of REAL business first?
