By no means do I think Nick Diaz is a bad fighter.
G.S.P. said Nick has the best Boxing in MMA,
and though I don't agree, his skills are undeniable. He has a heart like the best of them, mean shit talking game, even meaner Jiujitsu game topped off with high-combo striking...
STRAIGHT out calling for him to retire after a belt shot would be ridiculous,
that would be like making a thread asking if Condit should of retired after losing to Georges.

BUT that IS NOT what this is about.
    It is about Nick's mind.
    HE has called for retirement
    (immaturely, though effectively)
after his loss to Carlos Condit and now brings it up again after his loss with Georges.
This is a fighter who's head clearly isn't focused on all the right things,
my guess is the key indoctrinator being money.

Do you think Nick should give into his wants and Retire?

I would post a picture but me not trying is 30% more capable then today's computers.

I think Nick realized he peaked, and at his peak, he couldn't beat the best.

Thus, what is there to fight for.

Dude's got the mind of a real fighter, few people have that mentality anymore.

Nick has accomplished all he will.

I think he should keep fighting because he will need the money when the IRS ass rapes him

Didnt see the post fight press conference but my mate said Diaz said he wanted a rematch with GSP.

He let himself down in the fight, getting outstriked by GSP and when they did stand he just taunted him.

Hes without a doubt an entertaining fighter but he comes across to me as a sore loser, he didnt congratulate GSP once post fight compared to GSP singing his praises and I felt he even sort of implied GSP had prior information of his tactics.

As soon as the fight was over, he walked right over to GSP and congratulated him...

Yeh fair point, but in the interview with Joe Rogan he came across like a sore loser to me, thats the bit im referring to. its just perspective I guess

I forgot about the arm lifting bit after the fight because all the other stuff overshadowed that to me, maybe im reading too much into it, also i dont really know Diaz's character that much.

I didn't get that impression at all.

I got the impression that a guy that dedicated his life to competing in something just found out that someone was better at that something than he was.

    Shit's gotta be heart-breaking.

    ^^^^this

when a guy says he is thinking about retiring because he just doesn't have it anymore I think it marked one of the first times I have ever seen him admit defeat.

I expect him to make another case to want to fight Anderson Silva (a fight he wont get)

interesting enough the only WW fight marquardt has ever won was the vacant title fight. since then he is 0-2

he never was an elite fighter imo, but if you can beat him than you may become champion one day

    Never quite an Elite fighter.
Always fell short of his goals in the Octagon,
    and Tarec was just Ridiculous,
either way, Diaz vs Nate is even to me.
