Uh, Rone was rapping better than Eleagle.
I still don't see your point.
lol Dude, outside of this site, and MAYBE your neighborhood, nobody know who the fuck you are.
Stop acting like someone else is unworthy of your attention.
Um.... how is that not a personal? Solomon couldn't have spit that against just anybody, saying I'll bend you legs behind your head could be said to anybody.
No it's not
What YOU guys are saying is that it MUST be personal to win. And what we're saying is that you guys are retarded.
nah dog. couldnt be said to a double amputee
wtf, rone beat eleagle in pretty much EVERY single aspect of this battle
i think you need to reevaluate your qualifications of 'rapping better'
Yea that Rone example wasn't the best, but I see what he's saying.
I think a better example might be Marv v Verb.
Marv was spittin' shit about Verb, while Verb was doing his best 9DM impression (content-wise).
Verb definitely out-rapped the shit outta Marv, but Marv definitely embarrassed Verb.
D- lors not that ignorant. (it least i hope not)
he saying that theres more then one way to win a battle you need a combination of style, content, delivery and attack to win. lacking in a department means that you arent that great. that being said solomon sounded stupid and while flamez lacked in the "diss department" (and clothes)
his overall perfomance and dleivery was more then able to compensate for that.
its not an 'who can embarass who' battle either
Haha this is exactly what i'm saying repped.
Aye Verb beat Marv.. haha
Alright, You got me.
Here's the deal, I think every battle is unique. At times personals and punchlines dont go over well and sometimes flow and delivery dont go over so well. In this particular battle, I think Flames got raped despite that he clearly out rapped Solomon. Is Solomon's content generic and dated, Yes...But in 2005 it wasnt. Solomon was on point in this battle.
There are countless examples of where technique's clash like this.
Marv Won Vs. Aye Verb
Hollow Vs Pass
Flamez Vs. Solomon.
At the end of the day its all about preference.
Can we close this thread now? It was retarded when it opened.
Edit: fucking christ, It took me 1 minute to type this post and there were 5 replies made in that time?!?
Which punchlines that Flamez were spittin were good though? Personal vs general aside, what lines that Flamez spit were even dissing Solomon? I understand being a fan of street battles, because I am too, but nothing Flamez said was hitting hard or clever.
I guess not.
That's how I see battles though.
I don't see the point in watching rappers trying to "outrap" each other.
Like I said, if I wanted to do that, I'd just get both their mixtapes and alternate the tracks. Same shit.
in your opinion...
No, I didnt say that it MUST be personal. Im saying that IN THIS CASE, Solomon's Personal's hit harder then Flamez 1995 flow.
nah, that shit was wack in 05 too. I never thought solomon won that.
True, but isn't what this entire thread is about? Haha
^I'm the one saying that there must be a personal aspect of a verse in order to win.
Give me one example of a rapper who won by consensus that didn't spit ONE personal line.
and im saying "He doesn't have a shirt cuz he couldn't afford one"
Is nowhere near touching the flow flamez had. Also. flames had directed disses. he wasn't talkin about the spinners on his tahoe like some of you make it sound.
And yes, there is a person in this thread saying that "It MUST be personal" Can we all agree that that is a retarded opinion?
Separate names with a comma.
