Define the difference between MC and rapper...

    ^lol, why isn't Doug E Fresh a great rapper but is a great MC, because he can rock a crowd but puts out bad music??..so now an MC can rock a crowd but a rapper can't.

    no, a rapper can rock a crowd but that would make 'em both an MC and a rapper.... there's guys that are just rappers..............

    and you can be an MC but be a bad one and you can be an MC and a good one... if you rock shows and or are speaking in front of a large crowd then you're an MC... that doesn't mean you're a good one....

    There is no underground, rapper, emcee, and mainstream boundaries as far as skill goes imo. It's all personal preference as to what you think is ill. I think Emcees can be rappers, and rappers can be emcees though.

    That's all about rocking the mic for a crowd. It has nothing to do with lyrics, and that type of stuff. Lyricists can be emcees just as much as Nelly can.
