Never liked go go, house, techno, trip hop, etc... none of that... as I've gotten older, I went back and re-explored some musics that I'd passed over, but still I can't seem to get into that scene.

Overall I like GoGo even though I don't hear much of it being outside of DC.

GoGo was popular with Hip Hop in the late 80's when rappers back then started mixing it with rap.

Run DMC's 'You B illin' had GoGo horns,

Kid-n-Play's 'Rollin With Kid-n-Play' was GoGo,

LL Cool J's 'Rock The Bells' was GoGo influenced,

Melly Mel's 'Pump It Up' was GoGo to.

^Yeah see, the only song I liked out of that group was "Rock the Bells"... I remember DU had "Doing the Butt," which was go go... and it wasn't that I feeling the song... I just like watching the girls shake their butts to it.

LMAO, Doin the butt is one of the hardest songs eeever...I play that at almost every party I do. It's impossible for me to do any sort of old school party without playin it.

What are some other major songs from Go-Go? I know there are hundreds of them, but the only ones I ever hear are Sexy lady, Doin da butt, and eeeevery once in a while, Sardines.

Most go-go songs have a dance to them, right? I remember back in '01 there was this song out of Detroit, I think, where you had to do some funky kinda line dance... they played it in that McDonald's commercial with the lil kid dippin' his nuggets... you know, "slide to the left... slide to the right...now criss cross." I hate those line dance songs... electric slide, all of that crap.
