lol @ "mostly in case"...if you mean that is a mind set then I agree. That is a mind set people do have and it's a shame because that is so twisted...espically on the wrong day, Sunday lmao

(no I'm not patronizing you G...though I think you know that already ;p)

Yet they still attend, even if only just to show up. Another thing I've noticed is, there isn't a Church building without another, less "holy" establishment sat next to it ~ either bar/pub/tavern...makes one think why that cycle as never broken.

maybe that's just a coincidence that a less "holy" place is next to a so called "holy" place. But if they are worshiping on the wrong day (Sunday) then that Church is no more holy (set apart) than a whore house or bar.

I'm starting to think hard about if scriptures even supports designating a permanent structure for the sole purpose of worhsip...like a church building...that's dangerous and leads to religion lmao

A decade ago, a family friend stopped drinking, smoking and going out, out of "faith in longevity and other religious jazz". After a few weeks, he was hit to death by a car. It would be irresponsible to plait a theory, but ~ you are willing to take that risk?

I'm pretty sure the building was needed back when people were uneducated, and needed priests to read and interpret the Bible to them in Latin, however since that book got translated into countless languages and sold for various prices, there's really no need for it nowdays.

you bring up some interesting things here imo...

the family friend seems to worked out salvation by keeping the doctrines of men and by man made traditions (drinking, smoking, going out and "religious jazz")...it was risky for him not to keep that religion ?

What a shame, because scriptures does not complicate mans salvation. IMO all religion takes it and perverts it!

true...we know the monstrosity of the catholic church and them bringing on the dark ages in line with the other nations..****EP..we just talked about that at the same time. lol

From what I know, his excessive lifestyle was killing him, he was an extreme hedonist, and since extreme can never be good, he decided to change. Probably along the lines of poetic justice, some might say.

It's hypocrisy in a way ~ it's living without consequences and then being remorseful about it when it doesn't even matter anymore. Either you stand by your choices, or you're ashamed of them.

I suggest that the method "of pure despair" is recognized as scientific. This is probably the only way to accept some theories of Catholic Church as real facts. ~ Galatea (HRH. A. M. H., 11./13./2007)
