Someone makes a thread questioning it, first off. Just so no one gets facts twisted, they decided to tell people truth. They honestly didn't have to tell anyone shit because its really their business. But now, if it was something that discredited KOTD.....thats a different story. They could have legal bounds to stop them if it was not agreed upon. But they agreed to it with Oneduh and Wird Of Pley and got some more views. No one got hurt in the process.

If they're trying to go beyond having the same fans who watch battle vids all the fuckin' time, let them do it. As long as it doesn't fuck up other folks business and people who put on the battle are cool with it, I don't see what you guys are complaining about.

Even I hate the battler's style/wordplay, I wouldn't be mad if they got to promote themselves more. I would still think they're wack but this right here...this is the business side of this whole thing.

Guys who get flown all over the place are done so due to popularity. Popularity doesn't just come down to views. Yes, views help gauge it, but for the most part, we all know who the "top/popular" emcees are and so do the various leagues.

If Wird is getting the views but the "battle rap fans" aren't the main reason for it, I don't think anyone will be fooled.

We all know who the "top dogs" are and who gets the views due to popularity.

Now, is this "cheating?" I don't think so. But there is definitely a grey area. However, in the end it hurts nobody. If anything, it helps all parties involved.

Wird clearly has some "peoples" and the ability to network better than the average dude. If he can utilize those resources, why not? If I was down with folks who could get my battles on ThisIs50, WorldStar etc. why wouldn't I?

And lets say I did and my "slightly above average" rap battle got 10,000,000 hits. Even if only 2 percent (the amount business try to capture) catch on, that is WAYYY better then the 20 thousand views from current rap battle fans.

    End Rant

Nah they did have to tell someone. Thats why they did it. It was a must. They KNEW about this from jump but said nothing until it was pointed out. You KNOW why? Because they had no damn choice people found it on there own.

If this was just cool Wird and the other dude would not have had a hour long conversation with Organic and PVP. Do you notice how Organic and PVP will say they had nothing to do with this. But they also wont answer the question if its cool for other battlers to do? You KNOW why because they KNOW if affects the integrity of the company they are building.

They can say these are real views all they want which I guess they are. But they are not real customers of the product. Now do I think these guys can do real target Marketing yes but that aint the damn case in YEMEN.

And like the sinner says if this was fucking Maniphest or DNA or somebody like that people would be going crazy.

Also dont you think KOTD should have been notified about this first? (if they did my bad but I assumed they were not)

Reaching out of the norm of battle fans affects the integrity of the company? LMAO

    smh.

Some of you really need to learn business.

Only thing I do agree is they should of advised this prior to it being brought up. Do I think they are hiding something and doing something shady? - No, but not telling people about this prior does make it seem like that and that is not smart business. Other than that it's a smart move by doing this.

    This argument is stupid

They're promoting the battle as best they can by using new outlets
No one paid for any views (as expressed by all the parties involved)

i have no problem with our videos being posted on any forum for the record... the thing that i was adressing was that "recent clients" thing. i was just clarifying that we did not pay for any views. props to oneduh for posting that on the other forum that was huge. i just wanted to clarify that we havent paid for any views. if you think its wrong to have a video embedded on a forum you should be mad at us for posting vids on rm as well.

I never said that nor implied it, how did you come to that conclusion?

To answer your question, I wouldn't care if they did or didn't. It doesn't affect me. Well, I mean it does affect me to some small degree seeing as how my battles are on that same channel. But if Wird (or anybody) wants to pay to have their battle get more exposure - that's on them.

If RYAN doesnt have a problem with it why should I? These people are not real customers though they are not watching. Wird even admitted that. Soul Khan battle put in some jewish forums where people really watched is different then people in Yemen clicking a link and being like WTF.

I would encourage battlers to post there battle in other forums where people will actually watch it. But was this what really happen? Or is the idea behind this to up views count. There is a fundamental difference from getting a broader audience to uping views count. Sometimes they collide in a grey area but what part of the spectrum does this lay. And should this be a common practice? Should battlers buy this service?

even if a small percentage watched the whole thing then this is a good thing. y'all need to stop with the faggotry, its business and everyone should be advertising their videos every way they can.
