I mean on Ice not on a skateboard.
can ya? i think im one of only a few canadians who cannot skate.
never been on ice in my life.
got a skateboard when i was in middle school but never rode it.
it hurts to fall on.
i skated when i was a kid, but i sucked and didnt know how to stop. The last time i skated i was probably 13-14.
Alas, I am another Canadian who cannot skate.
Last time I went ice skating I was 8. Thought I was doing well til I looked down and realized my ankles were touching the ice, lol..
I literally just chuckled out loud at that vision of myself, ha ha.
Should have put that in the 'little known facts' thread.
Roller skating was a different story. I loved that and used to go every weekend as a teen.
Never tried nor am I interested in it.
Not well. But as long as you can keep your balance I'd say you can skate. Stopping doesn't come natural to me, only at low speeds.
Im like MissBreezy, I never could, my ankles turned inwards. I used a chair to push along for balance.
haven't in probably a decade, but can proficiently. stopping? not so sure. i generally just go slow enough where stopping is easy to slow down. at speeds i just crash into a wall to stop.
Learned how to ice skate around 1st grade, played hockey & attended camps for a few winters.. But there's nothing quite like waiting for the lake to freeze over & putting those blades on..
i always tried hard when i was little, but i had such shitty skates that it was no fun and it made me not want to go
For me it wasn't such a bad time because it was similar to being on reg skates (before roller blades came out)..
Luckily the quality of ice skates has improved significantly since then - but you'd need someone to show you how to properly skate..
ive never even tried rollerblading
You'll need pads. Lots of pads and a helmet.
I always wanted to try that.
My knees, however, do not.
Might I suggest a futon mattress??
I am fucking graceful on ice skates....and roller blades.
There's always the option of bibendum..
Yes. I am proficient in this activity.
When I was younger I used to play Ice Hockey, so, skating ability was a must.
I was awesome as a kid. Last time I skated before two years ago, was when I was 17. Could do turns and twirls and the works. My husband and I decided to try two years and go and yeah. I fail. I can not skate. That shit does NOT come back to you like riding a bike does lol I don't know if it was the toe pick or what. But ugh. It was not as easy as it looks---I am now 32. So that was quite the age difference lol
Can't skate, skateboard, ski or swim
you mean youd drowned?
whoa.... is water scary to you?
