Can people stop using thw word science not knowing what it is

Science isn't a set of beliefs, stop saying shit like "science is your religion". It's not. Science is studying things and looking at evidence to make a conclusion. Seriously, stop being dumb fucks. Science isn't a religion.

are u fogetting that its follow by test and retesting to find a defnite result? how hard is that to understand? lemme break it down....

Scientific view: 1. man thinks up the theory of evolution
2. much evidence is found to support it.
3. a complete link cannot be found so it remains a THEORY.
4. although it is a THEORY its the best explanation for how we evolved into what we are today, so it is accepted by most scientist until proven otherwise, then it will be changed if they find otherwise.

Religious view: 1. man (jesus) claims to b prophet.
2. years and years after many write, rewrite, edit, and reedit the bible.
3. all follow it without question, whether it makes sense to them or not, it must be write because a bunch of different guys said "god says so".

as far as science being a religion its not that simple. if ur asking do i actually look at evidence before i believe something i hear, then yes

but science doesnt have any moral values, god, ritual, etc. so i wouldnt call it religion id call it "theories being test" and id call religion "untested theories"

Well done on completely missing the point. Science over religion doesn't make science your religion. Belief system=/=religion.

The Difference here is that Believing in facts that have been tested takes zero faith. I don't have to hope they are telling the truth. And if some crack online calls out my faith in my religion of science I don't really need to fear shit. Cause I'm not the one citing a really old science-FICTION novel as my proof of the Universes workings. Its like citing Star Wars for your star maps of the universe. You're setting yourself up for something shocking or lame in the end.

science is based on a moral value system it's called the natural law of the universe. science doesn't have to tell u that murder is sin, b/c science in essence merely will produce evidence as to why murder is a negative act.. the results of murder become our own punishment. sorta like religion isn't it? except in this situation science doesnt hold anyone to any set of morals and standards. so where do u get ur morals and standards from ?
