why would you wanna put a ford 5.0 in a chevy montecarlo?

the merrauder is rear dive and the monte is front......basucly its impossible...

but there are engine swaps you can do.....like an ASG 5.0 kit...its a heavily modified and customed caddy 4.9 bored to 5.0 puttin out over 360 hp and over 410 llbs of toque.....

the asg kit is $5,500 but it comes with every single part needed to instal the engine and gt it runing including hose clamps and a K&N filter kit....

it would come out alot cheap cause to do the merrauder swap you would have to cut the floor pan relocate the gas tank and convert the car to rear drive.....

with the ASG all you do is remove youre old engine and wiring and instal the new engine and wire harneses

    What year Monte Carlo?
The last RWD ones were in the late 80's I'm pretty sure. It almost completely depends on that, unless you're willing to dish out serious cash.

    And the Marauder engine isn't a 5.0
Ford doesn't make a 5 litre anymore. I'm not even sure if they still make a pushrod, which sucks imo.
    It's a 4.6 SOHC in the Marauder I think....maybe DOHC
