If your smart about it you would save your money dont go buying equipment right away.....

get a job .....save up...ask ur parents.....earn it......

in the meantime get to writing like a whole album worth of tracks

so by the time you have your nice equipment you will have your shit memorized....and make money off it then buy more equipment

becuase rem its not the mic that makes the emcee .....its the person behind the mic

make sure you have skills, and that this is your passion and not somethin you just wanna have fun with before wasting your money

yea it really wont but if you insist

    get a dynamic mic, sm58 or e835
a cheap pre-amp since its just a dynamic (40 dollar behringer one on zzsounds.com)
and then an AITE soundcard with the 60-50 left (anything will be better than stock cuz that will more than likely give you some static
and then stands and wires as a necesity

That's more of a Karaoke mic, not for recording.
Infact, you probably want a condenser for recording.

For $100.00 you can get an M-Audio Delta 410 from www.musiciansfriend.com
Then, for $179.95 you can get a Studio Projects B1 ($79.95) and a Presonus Tube Pre ($99.99) from www.8thstreet.com

$279.95, plus cable, stand, and pop filter costs.
