I mourn over the grave of man
Laying burnt flowers by his side
From this angle I block the sun
From others I am that very torch in the sky..
Lighting the way for yesterday's soothsayers
    Sometimes unraveling
In the moment of a tired cry
The emotional labor of a hero
Self-proclaimed; but my fire burns bright
Charring my fingertips - losing my grip
Slowly turning to ash in this ambiguity

some really strong images here, specifically:

"Laying burnt flowers by his side
From this angle I block the sun
From others I am that very torch in the sky.."

from there it tends to slip into the cliche and ended kind of disappointingly.

I really like the part I quoted though.
