you need to spend at least 1k on soundproofing the room alone for your budget homie- you not gonna get a pro or semipro setup from 10k- maybe a mixing studio that's it. Real studios cost 100k min. You can afford to do room setup, computer (get 1 or 2 macminis 16gb RAM, 2.6 i7 with 1TB Fusion drive) Any 1080p monitor (no TV monitors). External drives, amp setup. Minimum 1k monitor setup (go to 2k if you can. see if you can find bowers and wilkins matrix 801 setup used should be in your price range)

get some midi controllers maybe an alai or korg (don't need mpc) and keyboard (maybe korg mk1 shop around find what you like)

    some AKG studio monitor headphones

probably that's all your money there. No recording booth (prolly another 10k) or extra instruments (a good guitar is over 1k for example).

Hardware is all super expensive this is a basic mixing setup- not for recording.

you not gonna have nothing REMOTELY professional for 10k (some monitors cost TWICE that)
That's like saying "yo help me build a house for 10k"

yea pretty much...its not for me personally... tbh i know how to mix and can get down with a soundblaster and dynamic mic.. shit nowadays you can cop a external soundcard/condenser setup and sound pro as shit so looks is definitely a big part of it since its an actual studio with room booth all that.

Really to a non music person a foamed out booth with condenser/shock mount and a big ass mixer

Prolly end up runnin protools im still a1 on cool edit and do alot of mixing shit on there

is there a big ass midi control mixer you can use for protools and other software

yeah whoever is doing it should save their money- soundproof the room, get some good monitors, and just get really good at mixing before spending more money because there's no point in having equipment that doesn't make up for a lack of knowledge/experience.

I know this is for a beginner because someone with experience and knowledge of recording/mixing wouldn't ask these Qs on a rap message board.

So real advice SAVE THE MONEY or tell whoever to save the money and work on mixing first. Then step up the equipment little by little.

TBH if you or someone else has 10k to spend on music invest in studio time. See if you can get some free lessons out of that shit.

Tools without knowledge ends up junk in someone's garage.
