New York Giants and Dodgers.
44 > 30.
Bob Cousy Born: 8/9/28 in New York.
Red Auerbach born September 20, 1917 in Brooklyn, New York is president of basketball operations for the Boston Celtics.
u started the city shit dont run away from it now that youve been proven wrong.
your numbers are off if your adding the Giants and Dodgers on top of your 41..
Brooklyn won 1 world title while in Brooklyn and the Giants won 5..So you are looking at 47
then if we add the Braves 1 world title to the mix
47-31 is the count
but then if we go back further for baseball..pre world series
NY would get 2 more and 1 tie
Boston would get 1 more
and wow RI would get 1 also
syracuse 1, boston college 0
Unless your franchise is the Lakers.
I told you this before.
The Celtics are not the benchmark franchise in the NBA.
The Lakers franchise has two fewer titles than the Boston franchise does, but...
The Lakers have the highest winning percentage of any team..
The Lakers have more NBA finals apperances than any other team- and their 28 finals apperances in the 58 year history of the NBA is a higher percentage than any other team making the championship round/game in any other sport (yes, a higher percentage than the Yankees)..
The Lakers generate the most revenue and have the biggest market as shown on a recent forbes list..
T.V ratings.. lmao, not even a comparison.
I hate telling slow Celtics fans this, but LISTEN, you can't call yourself the best franchise when you go nearly 20 years without doing anything.
The Lakers have only missed the playoffs FIVE times in their franchise history. I'm sure the Celtics have missed the offs more times than that in the last decade.
You think top free agents look at the Celtics as the NBA's premier franchise? Nope.
Lakers > Celtics. It shouldn't even be a discussion.
thats the truth.
People love to attach the fact that the Celts have the most titles as them being the best franchise, when it's just simply not true.
The Celtics won 8 straight titles to open the league. Since then, nobody has won more than 3 straight. That should tell you more about the era they played in than the franchise they are.
thats a lil skewed though
had jordan not retired the bulls more than likely could have gotten 8 straight
1) 16 > 14.
2) 16-3 > 14-14
worst part about the hardcore numbers is, youve been to THE MOST FINALS, by FAAAAR
yet, somehow, someway, u fall short, even STILL, of the celtics...
tsk tsk tsk
G-Rob just made you look lost, dirty, and confused. Give up.
That's the common idea, but I really don't think they would have. In this era of basketball winning 8 straight is virtually impossible- somebody would've knocked them by time they got to 5 or 6 straight. That's how I've always felt about it, but we'll never know.
Stop saying "you", my team has never been to a NBA finals.
lol.. all you can do is ignore the obvious and reply with a simple "16 > 14"
No shit sherlock, I mentioned that at the start of my post.
If the Lakers only had 8 or 9 titles, you would have somewhat of a valid point. Fact of the matter is the Celts first 8 titles are the only reason they have 16 and that era of basketball was shitty- there were what.. 8 teams?
The Lakers are more consistent at winning, and two years ago they were even voted as the "yankees of the NBA" on a poll on ESPN.com. They are the NBA's "franchise."
But of course, Danny C always taking the easy way out with the simple "16 > 14" remark... ignoring all the other obvious facts trump Boston's two extra titles.
And ignoring the fact that the Lakers stand a MUCH better chance to get to 17 before Boston does.
Keep grasping onto history. The Celtics have been one of the worst teams over the last two decades- in a league that hasn't even been in existance for 6. That's a third of the league history down in the dumps in this era alone. No way they are the "best" franchise.
i think you said their first 8 titles came during when the NBA first started..they actually came in 57-69 range
their were good players playing then like Oscar, Wilt, Cousy, Baylor, Petit, West, Bellamy
the first 8 years was actually pretty much dominated by the Lakers
err ima celtics fan were the most historic basketball team
but whos the last free agent...i mean real free agent the celtics got?
for future, past and present
noone said the knicks>celts..
but in the 90s knicks>celts..
So its not like yall have been dominating us for awhile.
lmao @ the lakers future being better than the celtics'
ur crazy kid
lok at the rosters and the upside of our younger players
5 years from now the lakers will be a 5th seed, the celts will be on their second straight one seed
Separate names with a comma.
