i don't know how to feel about this...
I know it's only a speculation of potentionally making a Supra-like vehicle, but iah, Supras were the worst cars ever made ~ the amount of mechanical issues those things had was insane, but people sure adore to use them for tuning.
Even BMW can't do magic tricks..
That would be awesome. I would really like to see what they make up together. Please post a picture if anyone has...
They're still in the deciding development stages, but as soon as any news emerge or leak regarding what the vehicle will look like, I'll post it..
:welcome: to RM!
Not a toyota fan so i don't like the idea of this. I figured BMW would partner with someone else tbh
In a way it makes sense; Toyota's settled into the whole hybrid market pretty well, while Bmw could potentionally supply Toyota with (diesel) engines of smaller volumes.
However, I'm not sure what it'll come out of this collabo, especially with creating a new vehicle..(for some reason I'm afraid to speculate that the car will be outlived by it's engine, whilst the shell of the car will be rotting after a year)..
toyotas are incredibly reliable.
i'd love to see what bmw can do with the supra. AWD + tuning and handling that you don't have to mod much at >$50,000? i'm down.
Whatever comes of this union will be so high-end out of price range for most of us, the closest any of you will come to one is on the web or TV.
I heard VW and Porshe' are partnering as well
As long as Toyota lets BMW do what they do best it could be fine, hopefully they won't make it into a faster prius though.
This is Toyota we're talking about...their cars have always been afordable, and I highly doubt they'll make a car that will be uber overpriced.
Nonetheless, point taken.
They've been in business for a long time so it's only natural to be working on some projects together. but on the other hand, VW is using a lot of Audi's parts as well ~ eine Hand wäscht die andere aka one hand washes the other.
Edit; I stand corrected; VW actually owns Porsche... =/
Still trying to fathom how that came to be...the hell was Porsche thinking?!
