This weeks charts are just too interesting...

    http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003825808

    - Weezy is BACK at #1 after 4 weeks, despite a 25% drop in sales. Crazy in this day and age. The fact that it DROPPED in sales and still was #1 makes G-Unit look worse considering...

    - G-Unit pushed just over 100k. I don't particularly care for them and am not one to hate, but...wow. "Flop" is thrown around to often and there are artists that would kill to sell that many albums, BUT given the success their past releases (together and solo) that's gotta be a HUGE dissapointment. I am, however, patiently awaiting 50 to drop excuses like he did after losing to Kanye.

    - Tech N9ne sold 36,000...without a video, without radio airplay, and on an indie. Outside of Atmosphere I can't think of another indie artist that has such a dedicated following...and Tech's sold more his first week than their Life Gives You Lemons... album. Meanwhile...

    - Jim Jones' & Byrd Gang's album sold 17,000...yet that dude's all over B.E.T. last week. Interesting.

I'm not sure it had one. Doesn't seem like an album that's aimed at getting a bunch of sales, but you'd think someone that well known would at least be at the 40-50k mark or so the first week.

iono, but the lp is like the rebirth of dipset with a new name, BYRD GANG...I think the main prob with dipset is that they are not NY style wise....heads just dont relate to their beat selection or that whole westcoastish blood shit they be on.....I heard a song the other day where one of the members said "on bloods" during his adlib track, Im like, the fuck? dont they know that gangbanging is so 1994, I mean shit is just corny, especially when they in NY banging against basically no one, lol...aint like the rollin 60s are down the street riding on them, haha....

but yea, dipset is so irrelevant, buuuuut, Jimmy is a business man foremost, he has alot of pull, hence, them being all over BET AND MTV and still flopping....

Gunit is twice as relevant and they did 100k, like someone said, that's good for anyone else, but not the unit, maybe Lupe, but not the unit....

^LOL yeah, it seems like the gang shit in NY is played out already. I mean, their bloods started in damm 93, AFTER the riots...and the dude who started them was in jail and wasn't even a blood or from L.A...WTF?

It seemed like NY did ride hard with Dipset back in 03-04 though.

    lol @ gangs in NY

for a driveby niggaz gotta get out the car run up the stairs to the apartment complex...shoot...run all the way back down...get in the car...get stuck in traffic during the getaway

lol @ Jim Jones...what a wack fuck...he's almost worst than Diddy rapping. He had two songs Summer With Miami and Ballin and then cut the deck. He's a character though I guess that's why people semi-care about him.

Dipset was wack anyway...I've never fucked with any of those niggas...only their beats. CAMRON had to be one of the worst rappers ever...I just cannot stand that guy. And niggaz talking about lyrics in the south? Must not have ever listened to Dipset before. The epitome of wackness.

GUnit sold like that because Tony Yayo is horrible, Lloyd Banks never recovered from that gay pornstar lookalike fiasco and also just sounds so uninterested when he rhymes and 50 Cent backstabbed Young Buck and said he was greater than the whole south combined....that took away that demographic and bout a million record sales (remember Buck went Platinum). On top of that he tries to subliminally diss T.I. knowing he's about to go to jail and is still on probation and cannot afford another a physical confrontation with someone ending up getting shot or shot at or stabbed or jabbed.
