Aiyo, folks who quote what I wrote get choked
You better surrender before you get smoked
You niggas be thinkin this kid is a joke?
I put chumps to rest fast, when my Smith-Wes' blast
So just dash or trespass and get your chest smashed
Rap New York rules, I sport jewels and extort crews
Don't get me pissed, I got a short fuse
I go bezerk when I put in work or do dirt, jerk
So stay alert, no smoke, cause these knuckles hurt
I'm from the alley, not the valley
I'm hotter than Cali, wicked like Harry
And fuck Sally, I rather marry Halle
I revive crowds with live styles
    Don't hang with jive pals
    Adios, ghost, I'm 5 thous'

Okay motherfucker, fist I gotta' congratulate you. You see, I was just checking out some rap news on the internet and I stumbled across this forum. My first time viewing this site.

Then I see a thread talking about Big L instead of those whack motherfuckers like Drake, Kendrick, Big Sean etc. I got a bit excited. Next thing I know I saw your motherfucking dumb ass comment.

Big L was easily in the top 5 or maybe even the G.O.A.T lyrically. Only rappers to come close are the likes of Nas, Pun, Rakim etc and I would honestly say my man L would school them all.

Thanks for making me waste five minutes signing up too, you punk ass bitch.

loooooooooool welcome new member....you have already encountered two of this subforums top notch trolls. The Rhyme King aka Mak who has just discovered that the 90s existed and DJBoutit, who refuses to believe that anything made after the 90s is worth two squirts of piss.

I agree, pretty much everythign after the 90's is fucking terrible. I've seen a few gems after the 90's (may have been out before the 90's) who I love though. Immortal Tech, JMT, Diabolic, Wax, Aesop Rock, Beast 1333 just to name a few.

People like Joell Ortiz, Cam'ron (was once good as Killa Cam with Big L), Drake, Lil Wayne etc are absolutely dreadful.

    This song springs to mind:

Meh, I never bought into the whole hip hop is dead/all modern hip hop is wack.....the good stuff just doesn't get pushed to the front like it used to....if you dig around, you can find plenty of good shit.

All I hear is the same repetitive shit.

I can write a bar now and it'll be along the same line as most the rappers I see on World Star.

Yo check it I got money, I got a fat ass honey, you know I'm the damn mayne
I'm in the club every night, pockets are far from light, bought out all the champagne!

That bar there sums modern rap music up.

No one finds real good shit on World Star....that site was created to keep the black man down....just like BET.

My jam right now....tho technically not modern because INS and Eso are both veterans of the 90s.....but their album came out within the past few years....had some good boom bap shit on it.

Lloyd Banks from Gay Unit. Only one good rapper came from them and it wasn't 50 fucking bent. The Game was their best. The rest are whack as fuck.

Next you mentioned Cassidy, let's look at his 'lyrical skill'

I got my drink and my two step, I got my drink and my two step"

That is some of the gayest shit I ever heard except from the fact he rapped with Fabolous.

Cyssero, meh he is on the same generic shit as everyone else. Nothing special about his flow or rhyme scheme. Better than the two faggots mentioned above though.

Slaughterhouse are whack as fuck. I don't know what Em thought signing these with the exception of Royce. D12 with Proof would make these fags look like House of Pain* (*who are probably on par with Slaughterhouse)

Chubb Jag, nice flow bust still on that whack ass generic shit.

Now let's take a few lines from some of my favorite rappers:

Big L - I heard your single, you better make a whole new song. If they told you that shit is hot then they told you wrong. Clown n*ggas you ain't got a chance at all, Big L Corleone too advance for ya'll.

Wax - I got my first tooth in the booth and I wrote my first hook in a coloring book. Back then, my rhymes was outside the lines and still are, fools lose reception when I kill bars. I heard your shit, my ear still scars, you should've turned it down like opening a pill jar.

Immortal Technique - I'll leave you fulla clips/full eclipse like the Moon blocking the Sun.

That is real hip hop and real skill. Not talking about money and hoes.

Banks is easily the best one from wack ass G-Unit. his albums are mediocre at best but his mix-tapes are some of the best.

Cassidy also has mediocre albums and i don't really care for them but his mix-tapes are also undeniably dope as hell.

Cyssero has always dropped consistent heat. again, on the mixtape scene.

Slaughterhouse is easily one of the best rap groups out at the moment and everybody in their group is dope.

Chubby Jag, there's absolutely NOTHING generic about him. if anything, he's one of the most original out right now.

you don't consider them "real Hip Hop"? c'mon man.

I rate rappers by lyrical skill, rhyme structure, puns, flow and wordplay. Real hip hop. Keep your one syllable rhyming (c)rap music.

the rappers i mentioned are some of the best at doing what you just said.

who said anything about one syllable crap music? i don't listen to that. you sound like an old geezer stuck in the 90's or just somebody who doesn't understand what good music entails. you have a false sense of what "real" Hip Hop is. i don't like trash either.
