  2. honestly? I would leave a car like that stock.

but if you are buying any performance parts, stick to the big name brands, such as AEM, K & N, or Injen.

nothing wrong with improving the performance of something you're spending money on.....hell when I had a 97 galant, i threw an intake on it...no more replacinh filters..and...the engine response was noticeable.....now if you had said "im about to throw 20's on...need help"..then I would say you playing yourself

The only problem I have with Hyundai is that their engines are run by hamsters on running wheels. That primarily explains the "throttle response" issue.

An NA 1.6 (121hp) or 2.0 (141hp) Inline 4-cylinder with an intake is gonna give you SUB-10hp to the crank..

It'll be noticable feeling, thats about it (in reality it's not doing shit). Oh, you may hear a small whistle or sucking sound. I'd say go for it.

How do I know this? I owned a 2.4 liter 4 in high school and it made 160hp stock.

God damn that was slow as FUCK.

Holy shit.. This is kinda crazy:

    Hyundai Elantra 2007 performance:
    1.6L DOHC engine 121 hp 0-62 mph: 10.6 sec., top speed: 118 mph (190 km/h)
    2.0L DOHC engine 143 hp 0-62 mph: 8.3 sec., top speed: 131 mph (211 km/h) <--- 131!!! Yeah fucking right. Thats suicide.

Save up for a performance car with some potential.. thats my advice. Save your money.
