    I Have A Behringer Mixer Im Running Through To A Compressor Using The Behringer As A "Pre Amp" Of Sorts...I Was Looking At The Studio Projects VTB1 Is It Worth Getting That Or Should I Just Keep Running Through The Mixer..

    The VTB-1 is a better pre, so yes, it's worth getting.

    wow i wish i saw this thread b4 i ordered my equip. i just ordred a studio projects b1 and an art tube mp studio mic pre. im on a tight budget, but how is this set up?

    Art pre's are way too overpriced, and way too under quality.
    I don't fuck with Art, because they're as bad as Nady.

    Compared to industry standard, true... but considering the budget equipment I got, a cheap SoundBlaster soundcard and little mixng skills...I'd say it's acceptable...I've never got one negative response about my quality in the year I've had this setup.

    but Im upgrading to a EMU 0404 soundcard soon so...it should get better.

    I just want to add that the AT3035 is also a very good mic for its price range. I know that different mics suit different voices, but the crispness of the AT3035 is great.

    what type of voice is the SPT3 recommended for? and what abot the really nice pre?
