im using antares autotune 4 on adobe audition.

what im trying to achieve is a subtle pitch correction...

think of Drake when he raps (not sings). he is slightly autotuned.
u can barely notice it, but im sure it helps a great deal making his voice sound better

finding settings that drastically change your voice into a piano is easy...
finding a setting that simply enhances your personal swagger is hard....

what knobs or whatever should i mainly be fuckin with?

Melodyne would be better for this, you could just spit your verse, and then tune it up or down a 3rd to taste

Ok.. there are a couple of things going on when drake raps where you're hearing "subtle" Autotune... It's not actually Subtle.. Subtle is the 8million songs that have made use of auto tune that you don't realize auto tune has been used.. This has been the case long since before Cher and Tpain etc..

So.. in other words.. if you can tell when you listen that autotune was used.. bet there isn't much subtle about the settings..

That being said.. the tracking speed or "retune speed" is largely what influences how natural the transition sounds.. They have also implimented the "humanize" knob for this purpose as well.. Adjust both of them until you get the sound you want when you're looking for natural and subtle pitch correction..

Back to drake.. Thing about pitch correction... A.. you hear it less in rap / spoken words verses singing.. B.. You hear it less when you're already in tune.. Therefore.. using extreme settings on a good, super tight performance will more closely resemble what drake is doing.. Again.. I know the settings are more extreme than subtle by the fact you can tell 100% that auto tune is being used..

If you really want to do it like the pros.. use graphic mode and literally draw the notes where they go.. adjust the lengths and transition points etc to literally taylor every syllable.. leaving some notes alone and using more extreme adjustments and transitions on the ones you want to emphasize.. good luck.
