He's a fuckin shit stain and should be subject to the death penalty just for being who he is.
why does this affect you though?
are you ever going to uganda? do you have gay friends there?
i don't agree with the death penalty for a choice in sexuality, that's bullshit.
but if a country wants to impose their own law, in their own country, who are you?
Concerned for fellow human beings, perhaps?
For better or worse the civilized world is tasked with policing the uncivilized world until it's civil. Human empathy would want to keep savages from murdering innocent people.
If I was in charge, I'd be puttin my foot so far up Ugandan asses, even George W Bush would tell me to chill out.
so making every other country in the world conform to your standards?
in comparison, america is more civilised than uganda, granted.
but that doesn't give you the right to enforce laws in other nations.
i agree with the death penalty being shit, but don't agree with intervening.
they'd consider that a homo act, and kill you.
I'm not big on cultural relativism. All cultures are not created equal, I don't pretend to respect cultures that don't adhere to basic decency, equality and human rights values.
Forcing non civil people to conform to civility seems like it would be less than effective however. That's why they'd probably just need to die and be replaced. FFS I sound so Republican right now lol
It's kind of weird, since we'd technically be forcing our beliefs on the government in an attempt to stop the government from forcing its beliefs on the people. I feel like regardless of one's beliefs on homosexuality that a country openly putting to death it's own people is extremely wrong.
Besides, it's 2013, I think the rest of the world has every right to look down on countries that have these backward beliefs. (I look down on a lot of the South for similar beliefs) I agree with your point that we technically don't have the right to intervene on another country passing its laws, but I feel that when it comes to the death of its people, that intervening is a trump card over letting innocent people die.
I wonder if they are at least giving homosexuals in the country an opportunity to leave and go to a more accepting (rational) country rather than exterminating them on the spot. It seems like I can't go anywhere without shaking my head at humanity nowadays. I feel like the world is going forward and backward at the same time.
exile is better than death, but even exile is shit for something that's not really a crime.
Agreed. Although I couldn't blame people for wanting to leave with a messed up government like that.
Failing to see relevance of the word.
It affects me on a human level, where I refuse to find it acceptable for some polyreaucrat to kill off people simply because they aren't to the linking of his agenda.
A better question would be had I ever been there.
Hitler tried something like this, I forget the turnout.
Amen to this post. I think religion is a necessary part of life for some people but religious groups fuck it all up for everyone. The people that care so much about what other people believe in their mind and do on their own time, they're the ones to be blamed. It's actually a relatively small amount of Christians by my count.
Yea they deserve to die and I hope they BURN IN HELL!
I feel like some of these opinions are taking RM (and the world) back a couple of decades. Seriously, it's 2013 and people still think like this? God damn I hate the world sometimes.
that is hilarious.
I had a woman harass me because I am attracted to men.
She went so far as to tell lies about me.
As much as we fight for equal rights there are people who make life difficult for heterosexuals.
i just read this today and it is horrible
I concur with my slightly intoxicated merican.
