How is your voice deep and mid high?
It can't be both at once.

p stew no offense but i seriously think you should be more worried about upping your rap skill instead of worrying about your quality right now, your flow is and delivery is horrible.

None of the mics you listed are the same sound wise, or really even close.

    NT1-A..No
KSM 27 it'd work, but add nothing.
AT 3035, wouldnt be a bad choice.
NT1000 same deal, wouldnt be a bad choice.

What soundcard do you use, and what pre?

They're all good in they're own right, just NOT for your voice, and you MUST buy a mic that fits your voice.

ADK Vienna would probably fir your voice, more than any of those, with a clean pre-amp.

It's the SAME price as the AT4040, and no, that mic wouldnt fit you either, are you picking based on what looks good? lol

Go to 8THSTREET and look under ADK, it's $299, same as 3 other mics you listed.

imstillgb : Never choose a mic by looks, unless you own a studio, and just want to attract customers, and a sad fact is, TOO many people go to studio's based on what they see, not what they hear.

ATownUp : The difference is in the sound, the A-51 (alot of ADK mics are A-51's, just a different TYPE ie- the ADK A-51 TC, etc etc etc)
, As I was saying the A-51 (sells for $159) is smoother than the Vienna, and it sounds somewhat like the Neuman U67 in that right. The Vienna isn't AS smooth, but it is more hyped in the mids and highs, making it a great mic if you want to record a track with that "POP" music feel to it, or have a lower voiced person who needs help getting that voice to stand out.

That would have def been a good mic to suggest, however, what PRE will they be using?
Too warm of a pre can cause muddyness, too clean and it can be harsh.
